My killer is out there.
And my sister might be next.

Two months before I died, my best friend's brother went missing. I have no idea where Thayer is or why he left, but I know it's my fault. I did a lot of horrible things while I was alive, things that made people hate me—maybe even enough to kill me.

Desperate to solve my murder, my long-lost twin, Emma, is pretending to be me and looking into the many mysteries I left behind. She's uncovered my closest friends' darkest secrets, but she's never had the chance to dig into Thayer's past—until now.

Thayer's back, and Emma has to move fast to figure out if he's after revenge . . . or if he's already gotten it.

Sara Shepard is the author of twoNew York Timesbestselling series, Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game, as well as the series The Perfectionists. She graduated from New York University and has an MFA from Brooklyn College.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two Truths and a Lie (The Lying Game #3) by Sara Shepard This review is definitely affected by reading this book immediately after Never Have I Ever. Reading this immediately after finishing the preceding one, there are a lot of pretty large holes in the plot. Is there a recurring pattern here or is it just me? Emma ("Sutton") picks someone to blame due to suspicious motives, the Actual Sutton ghost has a memory flashback, marking that person as the supposed killer. Outstanding evidence proves against that person and in the end....Its not them. They've been proven innocent by the continuation of the same memory Sutton Ghost had or something else. To be honest I couldn't get past the repetitiveness of the book. The writing is superb and Sara Shepard is an amazing author but I can't help but wonder If this series would have been better off as a trilogy, or even a duo. Especially when it comes to murder mystery novels, there is a limit to how long an audience can wait, especially if nothing NEW ever really happens.
