Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much more than a naieve and outdated :instant book" it is a classic of participatory politics and deserves to rank with De Tocqueville's Dermocracy In America. ZWhat we now think we know about Kennedy, Nixon and the America of 1960 very largely copnsists of footnotes to The Making of the President 1960. If Teddy White had never written another word we would still treasure this book for its eloquent stastement of what Camelot was all about.
