Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good not Great Ok so I am a fan of her show and I was able to pick up this book on sale for $7. I made two of the recipes last night. One was a fish recipe on page 146 and the other a lentil sweet potato corriander stew on page 82. A few things puzzled me. First with the lentil recipe when she stresses organic this, organic that, why use canned diced tomatoes when you can just take 3 mins. extra to dice 2 fresh ones. Also with the fish recipe which was grilled with stuffed mushrooms and tomatoes...i did not take time to stuff the mushrooms and if I had I wouldn't of had enough sauce for the fish but i also adjusted this recipe by using fresh herbs and I wonder why she didn't. It is a good book. I personally would not pay $31 but that is to to my budget. I don't buy designer clothes either. I would have liked to see her be a bit more personal maybe tell the reader about the first time she cooked this recipe or why she likes a recipe. For such a outspoken and vibrant individual she came across as strickly a face to sell a book and while the content is good and informative it needed more of her.
