When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.
Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.
Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't put it down. This trilogy was amazing. Book 1 to 3, you do not feel as if the author has let you down towards the end. It is well written. Even better than the movies.: P

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Falling in love is easy (No Spoilers) I insistently fell in love with the Maze Runner to start off. Some of the other reviews say it started off slow in book one, and I can agree somewhat with that. The whole series keeps you guessing, it makes you want to figure out what is truly going on...but you'll have to read to find that out. The second book is a brilliant sequel to the first, because in your mind you still have a sense of the unknown. Which keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole book (and the series for that matter). I am currently on the third book but will be such to write a review about it because it has already started off in full swing. I recommend this series to anyone looking to fall in love with the characters and truly feel for their lives, in an emotional way. (Side note: it's nice to hear from a male perspective compared to the Hunger Games female perspective). If your also a fan of the Hunger Games, Divergent, or Blood Red Road, I would also recommend this series to you. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally for Post Apocalypse Lovers If you are a fan of The Hunger Games, this series is totally for you! I was a little put off by how slow Book 1 has started off, it just seems to go on and on about the surrounding that Thomas found himself in after coming out from the box, but as soon as you hit the 2nd half of Book 1, you will find yourself turning pages after pages, all the way through the end. I'm glad I didn't give up on it because it is definitely a great read. On to the Prequel now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from captivating, breathtaking! This book sucked me into the world of the glade in the first chapter, I was captured! I finds myself from the 50th page to the 150th page! I cannot put it down. Probably one of the best books I've ever read. Praise to James dashner! Very vivid and real! ( even though I'm only half way through the first book )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favourite books (no spoilers below) james dashner is brilliant. this trilogy is better than divergent. better than the mortal instruments. i absolutely loved the story line and it was very unique because you don't automatically love the main character my favorites were newt and minho because minho is so sassy. this trilogy is definatly my favourite. basically this boy comes up into a place called 'the glade' and it is filled with 50 or so boys and every day they try to find their way out of the maze surrounding the glade. i am completely in love with this trilogy and i cant wait for the movie in september starring dylan o'brien, kaya scoelario (i dont know how to spell it), thomas sangster and many more. i would definitely recommend this but i will warn you the beggining is a bit slow but once you get to the middle and the next books you will be in love. if your looking for a good read THESE ARE BOOKS FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I thought these three books were quite amazing. plenty of descriptions and not too much, great enough for the reader to somewhat create their own mental version in their head. Short chapters help to create suspense and you would constantly want to keep turning to the next chapter to find out what comes next. When you think things are done, it just keeps going with many plot twists. Nice intriguing, original, quick pace storyline and concepts. Great read for recommended ages and older.  Definitely thinking of rereading them again and again! Also a movie based on the maze runner is coming out 2014! Definitely excited!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth read that allows you to use your imagination. I received this trilogy for Christmas and was pleasantly surprised. With short chapters and a story that is constantly answering questions that both the protagonist and reader want answered, these books move at a rapid pace. Both a strength and a weakness of the trilogy is there tend to be a few weakly described scenarios and settings which require the reader to fill in the gaps. Worth the time if you have time to kill and if you enjoyed the Hunger Games, these books would probably appeal to you.
