Haunted is the fifth book in the thrilling, romantic Mediator series, from the New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries, Meg Cabot.

Suze is used to trouble, but this time she's in deep: Ghostly Jesse has her heart, but Paul Slater, a real flesh-and-blood guy, is warm for her form. And mediator Paul knows how to send Jesse to the Great Beyond. For good.

Paul claims he won't do anything to Jesse as long as Suze will go out with him. Fearing she'll lose Jesse forever, Suze agrees. But even if Suze can get Jesse to admit his true feelings for her, what kind of future can she have with a guy who's already dead?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this one!! Best so far in this series Haunted, another great installment in the Mediator Series by Meg Cabot! The book starts with Suze’s dream, well more like a nightmare about Paul in Purgatory. She thought she won’t see him since he is away. If only it was true. On her first day of junior year, Suze is horrified to find that Paul is now attending the Mission Academy and lives with grandfather. She doesn’t tell Jesse about Paul being in town since the last time they have encountered wasn’t great. That evening, her and her family is having dinner. Jake invites a friend from college, Neil Jankow who is followed by his ghostly brother Craig. Suze learns that Craig has died in a catamaran accident and he believes his younger brother Neil should have been the one who died. Later, Suze and ghostly Jesse argue over whether to report or not to Father Dominic. The next day, Paul invites Suze to his house after school, promising some new information about mediators and to help in her ghost case. He tells her that they are shifters, powerful mediators with amazing abilities such as inter-dimensional travel. Paul also knows how to send ghost away, like Jesse to the Great Beyond for good. Paul claims he won’t do anything to Jesse under one condition: Suze goes out with him. You think she is used to trouble? No, this time, she is in some deep trouble. She is falling in love with Jesse, and then, there is Paul, is a real flesh and blood guy even though it screams stay away. Suze fears that she will lose Jesse if she doesn’t go out with Paul. Furthermore, her and Jesse’s relationship is already tearing apart. Even if she can get Jesse to admit his true feelings for her, what kind of future can she have with a ghost? I loved this book and it was such a quick and easy read! I could relate to Suze and felt sorry for her. She is in love with someone who is dead, and he can’t admit his feelings to her when he shows many signals that he does care for her. I also understood why Suze let her guard down with Paul, because she felt lonely but then she knew it was wrong and did the right thing and get away from Paul! I loved the scene fight at the Party between Jesse and Paul where everyone thought Paul has gone mad or drunk for hitting himself. It was pretty hilarious to imagine it! I’m also glad that Ceecee figured that Jesse is a ghost. I hope Suze can confide more in Ceecee and have someone to talk to. Finally, Jesse admits that he does care for Suze and they finally shared another kiss!! I loved this book and this series keeps getting better and better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paul Slater continued This is the second book with the appearance of Paul Slater, and it definitely adds a different dynamic to the story. We get to see Jesse a little jealous, and Suze dealing with a whole new can of worms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Roller coaster Ride! Even Better then all the others in the series! I totally fell in love with this! This one was definitely my favourite of the whole series! (not including the last book) The plot was just so much more striking and filled with so much suspense and mystery. No to mention all the other stuff. Meg Cabot really did surprise me with this one. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely a fantastic read and awesome series! This is probably my favourite series of all time aside from Twilight. I felt like I related to Suze's kick butt and independent attitude. Every novel was a new adventure and to be honest, I wish she would have kept them coming

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Feelings Once you pick up the book, it is so hard to put it down! All through the book, Suze wants Jesse to admits his true feelings for her, but sort of ignores her for a little while after the kiss in Darkest Hour. Paul Slater shows that Suze and that she is a shifter, and he is one too. Suze was interested in this, but had to escape from Paul's house, because Paul decides to move a step towards romance and doesn't succeeds. In the end, Jesse shows Suze his true feelings towards Suze, when Jesse wants to moves to the Rectory. Suze was saying that if he doesn't feel the same way as she does, then that is just gonna happen. Right after she said that, Jesse pulls her in his arms, and.............Read it yourself, if you want to know the rest!
