Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great historical suspense Tess has just left a marriage that has been dominated by her husband and moved into a historical building where the past is so close she can feel and hear it. Soon she is thrust back to memories of a life that eerily echoes her own situation. To me this book reminds me of novels written by Barbara Erskine and Susanna Kearsley.
