about

Many adults name this book as their favorite Little Golden Book. Generations of kids have interacted with lovable, furry old Grover as he begs the reader not to turn the page—for fear of a monster at the end of the book. “Oh, I am so embarrassed,” he says on the last page . . . for, of course, the monster is Grover himself!

This all-time favorite is now available as a Big Little Golden Book—perfect for lap-time reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Childhood Memories I remember the suspence I used to feel every night at bedtime when my mommy and I would cuddle up in bed together and read "The Monster At The End Of This Book." It must have made a huge impact on my life considering about 15 years later, I am still searching for it to read to my little two year old girl, Amber. Well, I have finally found it. For sure, the next chance I get to go out, I wil be taking a trip to Chapters, who have finally ended my search for old childhood memories I can now share with my baby. Thank you Jon Stone, Michael Smollin, Chapters, and of course, Mom.
