Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good book... Series dragged, but good read This book is interesting and hooked me in after the first couple chapters. The series is long however and can seem to drag a little throughout the novels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mortal instruments series I loved these books. Was hooked on the first chapter and couldn't stop reading them til the end! I'm pretty single minded about the stories I like. I tend to read until I finish when I like a story enough. This was no exception

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mortal Instruments This series is what I've been looking for. Something along the lines of fantasy while in the modern world and incorporating the supernatural into it. Clare does an excellent job with the characters. You begin to want them all as your best friend. Each book has made me obsessed with this story and I can't put any of the books down once I start!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great teen read! I love that the character's family lines are in the Infernal Devices trilogy and the tie in with the Silent Brothers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the book is exciting and you feel for the characters. they make you want to help. the idea of the dimentional world is done in a new way. it is a must read for true entertainment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from As fascinating as this book is, I find it curious that Clare portrays nearly all her main characters as incredibly gorgeous. The focus on ones appearance is obvious and is one of the reasons I enjoyed this series a little less. Despite this and teenage romance element, Clare's story has a reasonable plot that makes you want to read it to the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved these books. It was a different twist in the supernatural world. I enjoyed following Clary's journey into her shadowhunter future, with all the twists and turns. Very unique ideas when it comes to the downworlders. Easy read but very entertaining!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Fab set of books. If you like hunger games and twilightthen this series is for you. There are another two books in the series. I managed to get myself lost in this series which is the ultimate point of fiction :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I watched the movie, then thought I would give the books a try, I love them. I'm half way through the 4th book and don't want them to end. I definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Mortal Instruments I enjoyed them way more than I thought I would. Although the characters are teens, the way they are written doesn't them seem as such.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Mortal Instruments One of the best this genre has to offer nowadays. I couldn't stop reading and went through the first three books in less than a week. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, but more importantly I found that I could really relate to the characters. Clary is no damsel-in-distress, but also doesn’t miraculously turns to a full fledge warrior overnight, she has to learn her abilities and confronts them with the expected confliction. Nothing is simple black and white in this book, not the characters or the plot which gives a surprisingly realistic feel to a fantasy world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fantastic series although book 4 is the least enjoyable. Absolutely loved books 1,2, 3 & 5 suit all ages from teen up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great The Mortal Instruments is an amazing book series. It keeps you hungry for more. It touches on such taboo topics and really leaves you wanting to live in this magical secret world

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Interesting story line, but sometimes it drags on. Overall a good read for a rainy day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Absolutely LOVE this series and it deserves all the praise. Clare writes in such a way that you really connect with the characters and are drawn to them regardless of their differences. Many novels are quite predictable, and even with all the complications woven throughout this series, I keep finding myself shocked and caught off guard because I don't expect many things. I would personally recommend this to any reader!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Loved these books - the best Christmas reading ever. I read them one after another and couldn't to see how the story unravelled. Cassandra Clare is now my favourite author. I can't wait for the next book - May seems such a long way off :(
Date published: 2014-01-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great This book, along with the rest of the series shows extreme amount in effort within the characters. I find that this series is not all about saving the world or fighting demons; but finding out who we are, and what we can do to help in this world and how we can be useful to each other. Showing love, loss and death; and the effects it can have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favourite series of all time. I remember that i started to read this series since 4-5 years ago following with catching all the release dates for each book that came out, and still waiting now on the city of heavenly fire, but i can honestly say this series was one of the best i've ever read. Way better than Hunger Games but not as good as the Infernal Devices Prequel (?) series to the mortal instruments, which i suggest to read at some point because they are AMAZING.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Mortal Instruments Excellent series, can't wait to see these on screen, and these books have made me want to buy more of her series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliantly Written a Compelling storyline Ive read all the books so far in this series and the three in Cassie's other series The Infernal Devices and I love them! They are beautifully written with great characters that will make you cry, laugh and wish you could just slip within the pages and join their world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING BOOKS! ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SERIES OF ALL TIME I absolutely love every single book! My favourite is City of Glass, all the books have lots of adventure and very memorable quotes and hilarious lines from the characters. The characters are unique and each teach us a lesson. I would highly recommend the series to anyone who likes fantasy, adventure, Harry Potter, Twilight, and all sorts of other books!
Date published: 2012-09-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat series, but a tad annoying if you're going all in The series becomes a tad bit repetitive. If you're like me and burn through a series this one can be a bit trying. I always come back to it though. I found a needed a break in between to break up the "wait didn't that just happen in the last book". The main char is a tad whinny too. Something will make you come back - but it is like the supporting cast :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! A mix of Harry Potter and Twilight! I bought this series with no expectations. LOVE IT! It is a mix of Harry Potter and Twilight done right. I Have already bought #4 and is waiting on #5 to be released. I have also purchased the Infernal Instruments series and cannot wait to read. I recommend this series to anyone who is looking for something fun, exciting and a little dangerous at the same time.!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unreal Series! After a long list of book reads that left dissapionted and hopeless in the creativeness and uniqueness of Young Adult novels, this series returned the hope and restored the love i have for young adult novels. The characters were brilliantly developed, the plot was new and exciting with a mix of supernatural romance (a favourite in todays novels), and the writting was everything i hoped for and more. It was funny and witty as well as heartwarming. For those of you looking for a review short and sweet and straight to the piont, here it is: this series is about a young girl names clary fray, she thinks shes a normal girl until she see something and someone mysterious at a club with her best friend. It turns out to be that clary is nephilim. A mix of a little bit of family disfunction, family secrets, love trianlges or should i say love square?, angels, demons, secret socities, incest, and good old teenage angst. But in all honesty if you like books that have great characters, great plots along with the potential to make you laugh and cry as well as keeping you intrigued, this book is for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my all time favorites! These books are great..i could never put them down and are full of action and surprising twists that will keep you wanting more...i am currently reading the newest book "Clockwork Angel" which is the trilogy's prequel, and so far it hasn't disappointed :)

I had read this series all the way through more than once and still found it a very good read. Very creative fantasy world with really great charcters

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Read An amazing novel with an excellent story line that keeps you interested throughout. Betrayl, family, love, hate and angels all combined to create a suspensful novel full of hairbbending turns and dramatic revalations. A fun novel to read for anyone over the age of 14 who likes the supernatural, hot guys, tough girls and a few laughs thrown in.
