Jack London – (Jan 12, 1876 – Nov 22, 1916) American writer and journalist. Born and grown up in California, he tried his luck in Alaska in the time of the Gold Rush, but unsuccessfully. During his writer's career he's written such novels as Martin Eden, The White Fang, The Sea-Wolf etc. and a lot of magnificent short stories.
"The Mutiny of the Elsinore" is a novel by Jack London. The story is told by an anonymous narrator, witnessing dramatic changes in life of a ship, the Elsinore. It all started with mutiny, in which the captain died. The entire crew members were divided in two sides, led by the ship’s most charismatic officers. The narrator only wished to reach his final destination, but soon he realizes that there is sitting on the fence for him.
