Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent recipes and nutritional information. Like the previous poster, this was the first recipe book my parents bought me when I decided to become a vegetarian. It has a wealth of nutritional information in the back of the book. Every recipe is broken down by vitamin, macro nutrient and mineral which is very helpful if you are worried about getting enough of a required element. I’ve been a vegetarian (who loves to cook) for almost 24 years now and have sadly lost my original copy. I can’t wait to replace it with a new one. moggie

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New Laurel's Kitchen This is the first vegetarian cookbook I bought and to my surprise(and delight) this book is way more than recipes. It's a lifestyle. It teaches you to buy foods and eat foods that are in season where you live. To eat wholefoods, not processed, and provide recipes for just about everything. There is also an extensive food guide in the back with tables, statistics and help for almost every health condition. I've had mine for 10 years and soon will be on my second. If you're going to buy any vegetarian cookbook this is the only one you'll need to get you on the right track, and change your life!!
