Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite cookbook! This cookbook changed my eating habits - no longer was "vegetarian" codeword for tofu alone. The foods are comforting, easy to make, delicious and inventive. Be sure to make Zuccanoes and Herbed Carrot Soup. In fact, all the soup recipes are delectable. And if you like this one, other Moosewoods to try are Low Fat, Celebrates and Desserts.

I love the diverse ethnic origins of the recipes in this cookbook, and it always has something I want to cook, no matter what I'm in the mood for. I recommend this cookbook for cooks of any level, the recipes are easy and will please any dinner guests. Try this cookbook out and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised!

It features wonderful recipes that satisfy the palate with healthy low-fat ingredients. Gypsy Soup is amazing, and the crepes are the best I've ever had. The hand-written and illustrated text adds to the personal feel of this great cookbook. Mollie Katzen's website features some of her artwork that you don't want to miss.

This is the only hand written, personally illustrated cookbook I've ever come across, which makes this one even more fun to cook from.
