Glow from the inside out with fabulous vegan recipes from the creator of the award-winning blog  Oh She Glows

A self-trained chef and food photographer, Angela Liddon has spent years perfecting the art of plant-based cooking, creating inventive and delicious recipes that have brought her devoted fans from all over the world. After struggling for a decade with an eating disorder, Angela vowed to change her diet - and her life - once and for all. She traded the low-calorie, processed food she'd been living on for whole, nutrient-packed vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, and more. The result? Her energy soared, she healed her relationship with food, and she got her glow back, both inside and out. Eager to share her realization that the food we put into our bodies has a huge impact on how we look and feel each day, Angela started a blog, Oh She Glows, which is now an internet sensation and one of the most popular vegan recipe blogs on the web.

This is Angela’s long-awaited debut cookbook, with a treasure trove of more than a hundred mouth-watering, wholesome recipes – from revamped classics that even meat-eaters will love, to fresh and inventive dishes – all packed with flavor. From rich and hearty entrees like the Crowd Pleasing Tex Mex Casserole and 15-Minute Creamy Avocado Pasta to decadent desserts such as Chilled Chocolate Espresso Torte with Hazelnut Crust and Angela’s famous Glo Bakery Glo Bars, there is something for everyone. The Oh She Glows Cookbook also includes recipes free of common food allergens – with more than ninety gluten-free recipes – and many recipes free of soy, nuts, sugar, and grains, too!

Whether you are a vegan, “vegan-curious,” or you simply want to eat delicious food that just happens to be healthy, this cookbook is a must-have for anyone who longs to eat well, feel great, and simply glow!

Customer Reviews of The Oh She Glows Cookbook: Vegan Recipes To Glow From The Inside Out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yum This book was really helpful for me transitioning from vegetarian to vegan. People complain about the ingredients not being available, but most things you think you may have a harder time finding are available at the Bulk Barn. There are tons of beautiful pictures in this book, so you can get an idea of what your food should look like. I love most of the recipes I have tried. I let my mom borrow this book, and she had it for about 2 months, I'm assuming she copied most of the recipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this cookbook!! Provides easy, yummy recipes for vegans! I got this as a gift for christmas and have loved it ever since!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Recipes! I found that this book has some really great recipes, but I haven't used it as much as I would like. Some of the ingredients are more difficult to find, or have to be in season. Many of the recipes are also discouraging to the picky eater (husband!) that I live with! I hope to use the book more in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice book to have on the shelf Bought this book when it came out and loved the pictures and layout, flipping through it was always a great overall inspiration for getting into healthy cooking... never made any of these particular recipes though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Not a vegan but introduced me to healthy cooking. I really do feel like I am glowing from the inside out. My body is thanking me for discovering Angela!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent! This book is great for vegan ' newbies'. The recipes are straight forward and delicious. I especially recommend the walnut-lentil loaf (leftovers make a great sandwich), served with the mushroom gravy on cauliflower mashed potatoes The chakra Caesar salad is a nice addition to the meal. I'm not fond of croutons so usually substitute cucumber pieces (makes prep even easier!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aaaaaamazing I am a carnivore but this book is amazing. My sister made the Not-Nacho Cheese sauce. We didn't tell my husband and he ate it thinking there was actually cheese in the dip. So delicious. LOVE this book

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great introduction This book really is a great introduction to vegan/plant based meals. If you are looking for a place to start and are overwhelmed by all of the information online, pick a copy of this up. Angela Liddon really does a great job at breaking it all down to the basics. The recipes are simple, direct and delicious. However, if you are already an experienced plant-based cook, i would flip through the book to see how much "new content" is in here for you. Regardless, it is great for inspiration if nothing else :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helped get my creativity flowing! I stumbled upon the author's blog about 5 years ago when I started eating less meat and looking to eat more plant based. Like most cookbooks, some recipes just weren't of interest for me, however many were really tasty and easy to adjust to my tastes. I liked this book for really simple veg meals that I could alter or get inspired by as I started looking to change my diet. Well worth it!

Date published: 2016-12-19
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some good ones There were some good recipes in this book, such as the smoothies. However, I didn't find that there were enough "winners" to justify buying the entire book. If I knew that I would have, like another reviewer suggested, just photocopied a few of the recipes that I liked.

Date published: 2016-11-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really really good Every recipe I made turned out awesome especially the chocolate bark. The only thing I have kinda bad to say about it is that there are a few not so normal ingredients in the book so you may have to go to a health food store to find them. But all and all very good book for anyone meat eaters or not.
Date published: 2016-11-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay book - not great I got this book hoping to add some vegan meals to my week though I found some of the ingredients too far fetched from what a normal kitchen would have. I would need to go buy the specifics every time I would want to use a recipe which is not practical. However, the granola recipe is delish and the ingredients are typical for a normal family kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looking forward to this! A friend had baked brownies and told me the recipe came from this book. They were so delicious I had to buy a copy! I'm really looking forward to trying more, there are a lot of yummy looking dishes and desserts!
Date published: 2016-11-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vegan cookbook - although maybe not for beginners I am not a vegan at all but I am on a strict diet. I've lost a lot of weight and I find that eating vegan and raw food helps because they contain little to no processed sugar. I also have a mild intolerance to dairy. Oh She Glows is definitely a great cookbook for vegans, aspiring vegans, vegetarians, or just people who love to eat a variety of food. However, it may not be an appropriate book for people who a) hate cooking, b) suck at cooking, or c) just don't enjoy cooking. The recipes can get pretty detailed and intimidating. If you enjoy working in the kitchen or are dedicated to leading a healthier lifestyle, this will be a good book for you. There are several recipes I'm excited to try out but the kitchen is my least-favourite room in the house and Oh She Glows is not really for total kitchen-newbies like I am. But the author does a wonderful job of explaining the vegan lifestyle and it's health benefits. Most recipes come with a picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cookbook! I recently changed my ways of eating due to health concerns and this cookbook is amazing. I am happy I can still eat all things I love but substitute some ingredients for more health conscious and vegan options (I can't have dairy, soy or gluten). This cookbook caters to everything! I have to say my favorite section is the desserts!
Date published: 2016-11-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this cookbook! I am a vegetarian and I am celiac. This is my favorite cookbook. I have tried six recipes in this book so far and have not only enjoyed them all but made them repeatedly. Not all of the recipes in the book cater to celiac's but I have been able to modify them myself.

We get together every few moths with my girlfriends and have an Oh She Glows Party. Each one of us picks something from the book to make and bring. It is the best way to sample all these amazing meals. Try it you'll love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this book. I have had this book for only a week and have so far made 5 recipes, and loved every one of them! We are NOT vegan at all but like the idea of eating healthy meals and snacks that nourish and energize - something this book offers a lot of. I really enjoy Angela's introductions to each recipe, as well as the beautiful photography. Every recipe has a photo and it really helps me to get excited about making them! I also found the pantry section to be very helpful where she explains common ingredients used in her recipes, as it highlights the nutritional benefits of each. (And not being a vegan, I had not heard of many of the items - so learning about them and their benefits made me happy to buy them). I'm excited to keep cooking from this lovely book! I'm a mom of 2 young children so I need all the energy I can get from my food! This book is helping me get there! The classic glo bars are a favourite with my toddler and we've made that recipe twice already. A much healthier alternative to store bought granola bars that he loves. Plus he helps me make them. Overall super happy we bought oh she glows and looking forward to her next book!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cookbook We have allergies and intolerances in this family and we have been able to enjoy these recipes. They have been a big hit with the kids even though we are not a vegan home. It has added some variety to our menu and some of the recipes are easy enough for my young children to make themselves. Love that many are quick to whip up as well and always lots of flavour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You can find a lot of this on her blog I enjoyed the book and I think it is a great start to any recipe. I am really creative when cooking and so I tend to add twice the spice or a touch of honey in smoothies that makes all the difference. I find it inspirational as far as cooking goes, but when I first purchases it I never knew about the blog or overnight oats so my life has been changed for the better. If you do know about these things then maybe you won't feel the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for self-made staples and easy to make! I really love this cookbook! There are so many recipes on how to make your own necessary staples (spices, sauces, milks and butters) as well as delicious quick to make meals. Lots of variety and if the items are pricy to buy it is well worth it, since she uses a lot of the same flours/ingredients in each recipe. Great hit for my friends and I! I approve of this as a great cookbook for vegetarians, people who like food in general or even people with multiple food allergies and sensitivities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Angela Liddon Totally Rocks! Let me start by saying that I have lots of cookbooks and vowed that I would not purchase any more. Then came along the Oh She Glows cookbook. I purchased it about 2 weeks after it was released. I walked past it on display at Chapters/Indigo and I couldn't resist it. I have made most of the recipes in the cookbook and it is hands down, the BEST cookbook that I have ever owned. I always recommend it to others, especially those who are intimidated by a vegetarian/vegan regime and believe that it is all about eating salad. Angela, l love you blog, your stories, your pictures and this cookbook. Keep 'em coming!
Date published: 2015-10-25
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for beginners! I really liked this book, I have used many times. Although I had to tweak some all of the recipes, and some needed no tweaking at all. This book is great for beginner cooks, actually all of Angela recipes are great for beginners and I believe that is what makes her so attractive to many readers. If you're an experienced cook and long time vegan, you may not like this book too much. The recipes are very simple veganized (adapted) recipes from North American traditional foods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grilled vegetable salad. We sampled our first recipe from this book and we've already made the same grilled vegetable salad again because we enjoyed it so much. Great salad to accompany our favorite barbeque meat entre. Also great for lunch the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had vowed to purge all cookbooks - then came Oh She Glows Our family of four uses recipes almost daily since receiving this book as a gift last year. I find the dishes nourishing and tasty. My daughters are 5 and 8 and love helping plan our weekly menu by looking at the beautiful pictures, it really helps them get excited about the meals and then help out when it comes time to cook. The girls have a fairly diverse palate but still sometimes balk at vegetables and demand more carbs - this book really helps them see veggies as the focus of most meals. Our favourites: Mojo-ito Green Monster, Nutty granola clusters, Overnight oats (I like getting up to a ready made breakfast!), Festive Kale Salad (so many people asked for this recipe), Tex-Mex Casserole, Empowered Noodle Bowl, Sweet Potato & Black Bean Enchiladas, Lentil Walnut Loaf, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites (by far the family favourite) Least favourite - Chocolate Zucchini Muffins (we found these super dry) Also from her blog you have to try the Roasted Buddha Bowl and Rad Rainbow Raw Pad Thai!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for Everyone - Not Just Vegans! My family is not vegan by a long shot, but clean eating is something we strive for and we do have quite a few meals weekly that are meat-free. I had heard of this book before and had followed the Oh She Glows website/FB page so was familiar with the concepts to a degree. I read a lot of the reviews on here and was really on the fence about buying this book though. I don't like complicated recipes nor those with a million ingredients, which some of the reviews seem to say this book had. BUT - I am really interested in finding healthy alternatives to what our "normal" menus consist of and honestly, I am SO glad I bought this book!! I have tried a few recipes and I can honestly say that I will likely try nearly all of them in this book. While the ingredient list is a bit long on some of them, it's all ingredients that are easy to come by and not going to cost a fortune either. This cookbook is going to quickly become something I refer to often and my kids & hubby both seem to love the idea of more vegan recipes and eating better as well. For me, that is a big deal! This book has so many different ideas and provides great information on top of that. It's not just a bunch of recipes slapped together. You can tell a lot of thought and work has gone into making this book user friendly and it can appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. I love this book & am very happy to have purchased it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Great Book I absolutely love this book! Angela has some really great recipes in here, my two favourites being her brownies and almond butter cookies. Her recipes are a hit with vegans and non-vegans alike (I bake her recipes for potlucks). Everyone always asks me where I got the recipe for the desserts! The only two complaints I have: 1) I wish her dessert recipes used less sugar. I am trying to be more mindful of reducing my sugar intake and there seems to be a fair amount of sugar in those recipes (like any normal non-vegan and gluten free recipe), 2) I am not a huge fan of any of her entree meals. They are just not the type of recipes I would ever eat, vegan or non-vegan (like enchiladas)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my new favourite cookbook This is the best cookbook for a Mom who is running on empty all the time and is constantly forgetting to take some protein out of the freezer! I eat more vegan meals now than I ever have thanks to this fantastic cookbook. Meals are by no means bland- perhaps other are not using good quality spices and hot sauce cause my versions are sometimes too spicy. My kids love spicy and have loved everything I have made! The tex mex is our go to dish, the veggie burger are fantastic, cashew cream is divine and I could go on and on! buying one for my Mom and recommending to all my friends!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from By no means a vegan chef I've been eating vegan for years, and have come to have high standards for vegan cookbooks. I was disappointed with this book. It's clear she doesn't have much formal cooking knowledge - the textures and flavouring of her recipes are all very basic - kind of feel like I'm eating 70s casseroles. What bothers me most is the author's blurb's in the book. Aside from being not funny or interesting, they carry a very "man/husband pleasing" tone, as if it is shocking that a man would eat vegan food. The book is not very progressive, and panders to gender roles and stereotypes. I remain hopeful that there are good recipes in this book as I haven't made most of them yet. My reaction thus far: The bad recipes: All the oatmeal recipes with apples are no good - too much cinnamon and vanilla. The roasted chickpeas were gummy and gross (she needs to add about 20 more minutes of cooking time). Tex-mex casserole was mushy and bland. Hummus texture was too thick, needed more flavour oomph as well Tofu scramble was bland and watery (needed lots of sriracha) Cashew-cheese quinoa burrito was just ok - Safeway deli fare Miso power bowl - flavours were no good The good recipes: Glo bars Peanut butter cookie dough balls Granola clusters raw buckwheat porridge

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I really love this cookbook. I have only tried about half a dozen recipes so far, but I have been very happy with them so far. It really is a great cookbook that I highly recommend. A great way to ease into vegan eating. I can't wait to try all the recipes! And am looking forward to her second book.

The recipes are easy to follow with simple ingredients, and everything is so delicious! And the best part is the food is all husband approved! :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't get the hype I also don't understand all the hype over this one. The recipes are overly complicated for someone with a busy life. If your entire job is cooking for yourself, you might enjoy this cookbook. But with recipes that span 2 pages, this working mum doesn't have the time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not my favourite i really *really* wanted to love this book. while the photos of each recipe are ah-mazing, the ingredients lists are sometimes so long, i just don't bother. i will have to give this book more and who knows, maybe it'll grow on me eventually. but for now, i like getting inspired by the photos more than the actual recipes themselves. borrow it first, then buy if you like!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you haven't bought this yet, DO IT! Seriously, this is the best cookbook out there. I use it several times a week! The recipes are easy to follow and ingredients are not hard to find. I'm not even vegetarian, gluten free, or anything else. It's just good tasting, feel-good food! I've made most of the recipes and there's only one recipe I don't like - but everyone else I've talked to liked that one, so I think it's just me! Seriously, stop reading reviews and buy the book already, you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Variety for a Non-Vegan I am not vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc etc fad diet etc. What I do is try and eat as clean as I can, as often as I can. The few recipes I have made from this book so far were FANTASTIC! Easy and tasty, just love it. As I'm not strict, I do not pay much attention in looking for gluten free rolled oats etc, and it works perfectly for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipes, with everyday ingredients My wife wanted this for Christmas, I ordered it, but then wondered if she realized it was VEGAN cookbook. We're not vegan, not even close... she explained to me, that after researching some of the recipes, she was interested in some of the recipes, as the ingredients are easily attainable, and not exotic. Other cookbooks we have used before have great recipes, but call for spices, or oils, or ingredients that can only be found in specialty grocery stores in bigger cities. Very excited to try many of the recipes in the book... I am particularly interested in the juices/smoothies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipes This cookbook has numerous tasty recipes. The recipes are easy to follow, require mostly easy to find items and have great photographs to accompany each one. You don't need to be vegan to enjoy the food. We especially enjoy the glo bars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Only Cookbook You Will Ever Need. Period. I received this book for Christmas and have tried about 9 recipes so far. I am OBSESSED with this cook book. The recipes have all been super easy, filling and delicious. I am vegetarian, not vegan, however the vegan alternatives that she provides in lieu of things like cream and cheese are still super yummy! Even if your not a vegetarian, I would recommend this book to try to incorporate with Meatless Mondays or any other night of the week. I promise, you will not be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one word: AMAZING This book! So many awesome recipes, everything looks delicious and is so easy to make. My family (who do not share my affinity for healthy recipes) have no idea how healthy they're eating! And the SALADS. I hope she makes a sequel that is just salads. Would (and have) recommend this book to anyone who'll listen :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best cookbook ever! I'm a vegetarian and I really enjoy vegan meals. I always tough that it was hard to cook tasteful vegan meals at home (specially because my husband is a meat lover!) but Angela Liddon totally changed my mind! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Golden. What a wonderful investment in food happiness! The gorgeous photos get me stoked to make the recipes and they have not let me down. My vegan partner and I adore these instant classic recipes just as much as our omnivore families (one of which is portuguese so I that alone I find impressive :P )

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OSG is a phenomenon I didn't know of Angela Liddon's Oh She Glows blog until I bought this cookbook on a whim. I sort of balked at how rustic and homely the recipes were, but I've tried a handful of recipes and generally like the results. I also like Angela's conversational tone when it comes to sharing her recipes, as if she is speaking to a friend and sharing tips along the way. When I have a hankering for something particular, I've grown to asking myself, "Does Angela have a recipe for this?". Suffice it to say, I've been won over by the warmth and friendliness that comes through OSG. Through her cookbook, Angela is a great companion to have when it comes to vegan and gluten-free home cooking.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Highly Overrated I don't understand all the love for this cookbook. I'm a vegetarian and I enjoy cooking vegan meals on a regular basis. I was initially intrigued the first time I flipped through this book at a friend's house; she lent me the book for a few months and at first I was very excited to get cooking! I began following the author's blog, too. But I was disappointed, recipe after recipe; the author hypes each one in her psychotically gleeful and oh-so-smug tone; the results are always unexciting or bland and don't live up to the pictures that accompany them which, to the author's credit, are absolutely gorgeous (and that's the reason I gave this book two stars instead of one!) I'm an experienced cook and I found myself punching up each recipe with this or that added ingredient(s). I'm glad I didn't actually buy this book! When I returned the book to my friend she suggested I keep it as she hadn't been that impressed either. I'll stick to my own vegan creations and my favourite, tried-and-true cookbooks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone who loves food needs this book! I was a bit reluctant to buy yet another cookbook. I own about 150. This one is my favourite and I am so glad I bought it. I loved it so much that I bought several copies for my friends and family. There isn't a recipe that I have tried that I haven't liked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cookbook I've ever used! This book makes eating healthy so easy. You can really tell a lot of work went into creating all the recipes. I've not made one thing from this book that I haven't loved. I would super recommend to new vegetarians and vegans or even people who just want to eat more healthy, especially if they feel they now have to live off carrot sticks and kale, because everything is so delicious you won't even realize you're leaving animal product out of your diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cookbook EVER. (Even if you're not a vegan.) I am the world's worst/laziest cook and a wannabe vegan - but somehow this book has fixed all of my issues. Everything I've tried so far is easy and delicious. At least three of my (carnivorous but very health-conscious) friends also have the book, and we all agree... It's a winner!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cookbook with ingredients you can get anywhere! I love this cookbook. I've never written a review before, but I love the fact that this cookbook uses items that aren't hard to find. I live in a place that doesn't have access to lots of specialty items, so that makes it great for people living practically anywhere. The recipes are pretty easy to follow and are yummy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great recipes! I bought this book for myself and 2 friends. I love the recipes- for the most part they are simple and pretty easy to make. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gift for vegan niece I had sent my niece recipes from the 'Oh She Glows' blog so was happy to see the book available in time for her birthday. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, Love, Love I became aware of the Oh She Glows blog last year when my sister found a recipe to make for an aunt and uncle who are vegan (we are not). Made the enchiladas and we loved it! Continued on with recipes from her blog and was impressed by many recipes. When I found out there was a book coming I preordered it immediately, and I am not disappointed! I have purchased it for others and have recommended it to many. I like that she has chapters about her kitchen tools and some of her more frequently used pantry items. I am still a meat eater but I love her use of ingredients. My boyfriend is a meat and potatoes guys and even he doesn't mind a lot of the recipes I have made. I will have to admit though, he does like me to throw a piece of meat into the recipe for himself, but that's easy enough to do! I highly recommend the book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a realistic title i bought this book a couple of weeks ago, found it interesting from a vegan perspective, made the cauliflower/mashed potato as a side, could have done better without her recipe, object to being called an omnivore makes me sound like a dinosaur i'm a meat and fish eater and not ashamed of it, thought it would give me some healthier choices on the vegan side, found the concentration on coconut water a choice i cannot tolerate disappointing, useful for a few of my vegan friends when they visit, prettily photographed think this will stay in the bookshelf more than i hoped

I love flipping through this book, the photos are beautiful and the recipes seem very easy to put together. So far I have made 4 recipes from the book and they are all absolutely delicious and satisfying! They even please my husband who often asks - wheres the meat! Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so EXCELLENT I purchased the book last week and have already made three recipes. All were not just good, they were fantastic. I am neither a vegan, nor vegetarian (nor do I think that I will ever be), but am already in love with this book. The recipes that I have tried have been quite straight-forward and quick, using ingredients I usually have on hand. I REALLY like that Angela does not rely on the processed vegan foods as ingredients. I will definitely be trying more recipes in the coming weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasty recipes that work! So far I've tried making the falafels, the empowered noodle bowl and almond cream. Everything is working really well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh She Glows I tried this book to get a varied oatmeal recipe for breakfast. Love the breakfast casserole which gives 6 generous servings. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical healthy eating I've had this cookbook for 3 weeks now, and have made 7 or 8 recipes. I am looking to reduce my meat consumption. This cookbook is my bed time reading - it's that good! The recipes are easy to follow, with accessible ingredients and great flavour. Favourites so far include the Glo bar (no bake!) and Sweet Potatoes and Black Bean Enchiladas. The photography is enticing and your end products do look like as advertised. A practical cook book towards healthier eating habits, highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Vegan Cookbook I am a cookbook collector. With good intentions, I buy a cookbook to make many meals for my family but I usually only muster up enough strength, and patience, to make one or two. As for "Oh She Glows", I am happy to say I have tried 12 recipes in the past three weeks; it is the best cookbook I ever bought. Simple recipes, great tasting, and the best feature, my 9 year old loves every meal. BONUS! I love this beautifully photographed cookbook and highly recommend to those who want to live a healthy eating lifestyle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cookbook Have had this book for two weeks and have made 4 recipes. They are easy to make, really delicious and very healthy. My only criticism of this book, is there aren't any nutritional values attached to the recipes. For people who count protein, sugar, carbohydrates and sodium these values would be helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best vegan cookbooks I've tried! My review on Goodreads: I was so excited to read this book that I actually pre-ordered it online and it arrived in the mail before it was set to be officially released. I was not disappointed :). If you want to experiment with being vegan, or are vegan already and want to have new, easy recipes - get this book! I am very impressed - never have I ever had every recipe be successful. I have tried a lot of different vegan cooking and baking books and online recipes galore.  Most of the ingredients are basic and are attainable at the local grocery store, with the rare exception. The recipes are easy to throw together and most are fairly quick to throw together.  The imagery is beautiful - I think there is practically an image to accompany every recipe in the book. The story of the author, Angela Liddon, is a nice touch to the book. I feel many readers will be able to relate to her experience - especially women in today's society.  My favourite recipe so far is the one to make your own almond butter - the recipe is to die for! I actually let out a little moan when I tasted the first teaspoon. I shall list the recipes below that I have tried so far.  Overall I recommend this book really to anyone - simple yet so enjoyable.  The Recipes: Effortless Vegan Overnight Oats Protein Power Goddess Bowl Effortless Anytime Balsamic Vinaigrette  Crunchy Maple-Cinnamon Roasted Almond Butter I haven't gotten to try many...but I couldn't wait to review this book any longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you love the Oh She Glows blog, you'll love these recipes! I've been following the Oh She Glows blog for a few years, so I was thrilled when I found out about this cookbook. The book is beautifully put together, with photos to accompany each recipe. I'm not vegan but I have a lot of food intolerances, and this cookbook is ideal for me, especially considering most of the recipes are gluten-free friendly, or have a gluten-free adaptation suggestion. I made the cauliflower, sweet potato, and red lentil soup last night, and it was delicious. Looking forward to trying more recipes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy, vegan, yummy! All the recipes I've tried so far have tasted great. This book is good for people who want vegan recipes that don't rely on processed meat/dairy substitutes. They're also good if you want to limit sugars and stay away from processed grains. There are some ingredients that you can only get at a health-food store, but not all recipes feature them. The recipes are doable for inexperienced cooks.
