Sherlock Holmes is not only the most famous character in crime fiction, but arguably the most famous character in all fiction. In sixty adventures that pit his extraordinary wits and courage against foreign spies, blackmailers, cultists, petty thieves, murderers, swindlers, policemen (both stupid and clever), and his arch-nemesis Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes, together with his faithful sidekick Doctor John H. Watson, proves himself to be not only the quintessential detective but also the most engaging and entertaining company any reader could ask for. This beautiful new edition contains a new foreword by Ruth Rendell

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! After looking for a decently priced way of having the complete Sherlock Holmes stories, I found this. It is fantastic to have them all together and the stories are, of course, great, and for a good price. Great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit hard to hold It's such a thick anthology that it gets a bit uncomfortable to read after a while, but great to have all of the stories in one place for a reasonable price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! This was my first complete edition of Sherlock Holmes that I received. It is a beautiful addition to any library and affordable in comparison to purchasing the individual works. I would still recommend buying certain stories if you enjoy them immensely but a book like this can help determine which ones you find the most interesting out of the sixty adventures. This particular format makes reading multiple works easy by having them all accessible in chronological order within one text. #plumreview

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic stories Finding all of the stories in one volume is wonderful, and Sherlock Holmes is great fun to read about. However, this edition's binding is not overly strong, I would recommend purchasing either a smaller paperback edition or a hardcover, as this edition is not particularly durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complete Sherlock Holmes I am so glad I found a copy with all the short stories and novels together. The quality of this book was very good and well worth the price. The stories themselves are great for fans of mysteries or the many Sherlock movies and shows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME~ Ever since watching the movie featuring Robert Downey Jr. I have been hunting down the right copy of the book that contained all the short stories and novels. While malling around with my mom, I stumbled across the title and searched for copies, There were two I found. A cheaper big encyclopedia like hardcover and this.. I chose this for the convience of not the price but the quality. This was indeed the better pick and I'm glad I made the right decision. I have the 1 depicted but in maroon
