Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Pioneer Woman Cooks Love the interspersal of cowboy lore, photos of life on a working ranch, anecdotes, and hearty recipes that sound delicious. I wish there was a recipe index somewhere, though, and a Pioneer Woman chuck wagon opening up down the road where friends and I could chow down on this great food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Farmer's Daughter Cooks Too When I found the Pioneer Woman on line, I immediately bought this book. My family loves this type of hearty, home made food. But my sister has a ranch, so I brought it to her. When my Mom saw it, she raved, so I bought another for her and one for myself. My son took mine to university with him to cook for his friends, so I just bought another with the new volume. But it's my Mother-in-law's birthday soon ande she loves to cook. Such a success in my family, good thing I still have the website.
