Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thriller like no other! I found this read to be suspenseful but also politically driven. I don’t typically tend to be interested in politics based reads because I read to escape reality, but I was intrigued and found myself constantly guessing as to which tidbits of information on The White House, hidden underground pathways, political reforms, emergency based protocol, and impeachment that Bill Clinton brought to the table. A virus threatens to attack the internet, The White House servers, and every computer server and motherboard worldwide, the implications of which are deemed to be catastrophic. In a world where the internet drives ever second of our day, every decision of our lives, holds to key information we all need (healthcare information, banking, insurance), every minute detail from birth certificates, passports. The world’s best computer analysts and techies are on a race against time, all while the president is facing impeachment charges for seeking out a deal with the world’s worst cyber terrorist and avoiding life threatening attacks to himself and his family. You wanted suspense….well this novel dishes it out in buckets full!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mystery with political message i enjoy James Patterson. Read all of his Alex Cross books and others as well of his. This book was a good read and did keep me interested for sure. Liked the unsuspecting twist and trails along the way. Throughout the whole book as well there is the unwritten message of how U.S. politics is going today and how James feels about it. It becomes more and more important as you go deeper and deeper into the book. I would recommend it and the twist at the end was fun - did not see it coming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG! Riveting! I got this book from my dad, who finished it in 1 day). On his recommendation that it is an 11/10, I picked it up and began reading. It began a bit slow for me, since there was great detail provided about presidential procedure. However, once the plot picked up there was no slowing down. Filled with like-able characters, interesting plot twists and punchy dialogue, it was a book I really enjoyed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Painful read Unable to finish this book. There is a discontinuity btw ch 61 and 62 that I found intolerable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The President is Missing I'm a big James Patterson fan, so when I saw that this book was out I had to get it. To be honest, I thought it was going to be a completely different story based on the title, but it was still an amazing read. I had a hard time putting it down and just wanted to know what was going to happen next. Great book!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It wasn't a difficult read It is an easy. quick read. If you are looking for meat and potatoes, something intense and brilliant, this is going to leave you wanting more. A lot more I think. I am not a big reader of Patterson. I have read a couple of his books and I was left feeling.... meh. I think that his Alex Cross character is annoying. I see shades of Cross in this President. I think that it also is a big old stroke to Clinton's ego, and is probably a little bit how he views himself. A little too perfect, you know?!?! There were some moments that dragged out, but it was engaging enough that I did not set the book down and dread picking it up again. I think it was an interesting enough premise. It makes me wonder what kind of things are happening behind closed doors that we have no idea how close we get to the edge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed it way better than I expected! There was a lot of hype surrounding this book, so even though I haven't read many of Patterson's books, I had to get this one. Well, I enjoyed it, It was action-packed and suspenseful. The cyberhacking and political stuff wasn't bad either. The speech at the end was sort of unnecessary, but what do you expect if Clinton's name was on it?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extra, unnecessary pages... This book was 513 pages could've been written in 300-350. There was way too much unnecessary boring aspects and honestly, I was just glad when it was over. I usually enjoy James Patterson books but this one just dragged on, and on, and on...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Insight This was an easy, suspenseful read even though this book was relatively predictable. More exciting was the insight into Clinton’s mind, on what he thought a president could be/do...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An interesting thriller Bill Clinton and James Patterson have written a fairly good thriller about a US President who disappears while he and his closest advisors try to solve a serious cyber threat to the United States. While the plot is well devised, I found the book dragged with too much detail in spots. The book is overly long and for me became tedious towards the end.
