about

Once there, readers inhabit a harsh and natural world that is faithfully rendered, but also delicately infused with magic. A world that is populated by reimagined mythological creatures that feel every bit as real as the animal protagonists they travel and struggle beside.

The Rahtrum Chronicles tell the story of a peculiar young Caribou that is chosen by Rahtrum, the Binder, to set forth on a heroic journey to awaken the Cargoth (human beings) to their true place in nature and the World.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super good read - couldn't put it down! Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great themes with an addicting narrative. Picked it up just before flying overseas and actually enjoyed being jetlagged so I could read it all night. Loved the different perspectives the story is told from, and the detail that goes into seeing it from each character's own viewpoint. A story that delivers a message that feels even more important these days.
