Rated 4 out of 5 by from Suspenseful Ending Though I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the conclusion of this series (more on that right away), one thing I'm sure of is that it will be missed. This book, as with the others, is unique with its interpretation of magic and magical societies, inventive with its characters and their goals, diabolical with its villains, and devious with its betrayals, was fantastically written and unpredictable to the very end. That said, I don't know if I like the ending. Make no mistake––there were lots of twists and the final showdown was seriously intense thanks to an ominous opening––but I just felt like certain things could have been avoided if characters had made a few more sensical choices. There were a few angles that I wish had been explored more, too, but that's all nitpicking. I was thrilled to revisit this unique world and meet back with beloved characters like Lucy, Amos, Hodge, and of course, Sara and Sharp (who needed more story time, in my opinion). The dialogue was awesome and I definitely felt like I was transported into another world. So while I didn't adore the ending, I nonetheless had a fantastic reading experience and definitely recommend it to other fantasy readers. #plumreview
