about

An instant New York Times bestseller!

As a lifelong student of Scripture, Kathie Lee Gifford has always desired a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a deeper knowledge of God Himself. But it wasn’t until she began studying the biblical texts in their original Hebrew and Greek—along with actually hiking the ancient paths of Israel—that she found the fulfillment of those desires.

Now you can walk with Kathie on a journey through the spiritual foundations of her faith:

  • The Rock (Jesus Christ): Hear directly from Kathie about her life-changing and ever-deepening connection with Jesus, the Lover of her soul.
  • The Road (Israel): Explore dozens of ancient landmarks and historical sites from Israel, the promised land of God’s covenant.
  • The Rabbi (God’s Word): Go beyond a “Sunday school” approach to the Bible by digging into the original languages and deeper meanings of the Holy Scriptures.

As you journey through The Rock, The Road, and The Rabbi, you’ll also find additional content from Messianic Rabbi Jason Sobel throughout the book. Jason’s insight into the Hebrew language, culture, and heritage will open your eyes to the Bible like never before.

Come! Begin your journey toward a deeper faith through The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi.

Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An Unexpected Read 1.5 stars Yikes. In no way was this book what I expected (or wanted). The fault is on me because I thought this book was going to be more of a self-discovery/self-help book but in reality, it was filled with dense biblical knowledge. This is a relatively small book with it being less than 200 pages (excluding the various appendixes, acknowledgments, and letters of praise) however; it's filled with some very dry content. It felt like it took me ages to get through this book and I literally fell asleep not one, not two, but three times while reading. It's a very scripture heavy book and if you are new or are a more casual reader of scripture, this book may be difficult for you. I seriously would really only recommend this book to those that have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Bible because it's not an easy book to understand. As well, I feel like to really understand this book the reader essentially has to have visited Israel to be able to visualize or understand the locations that are mentioned. Well, I myself have never been to Israel and I know of many that are in that same category. Again, I think the majority of my issues that stem from this book is the fact that I expected a totally different kind of book. But I do have to say that I think there will be others like me who unknowingly pick this book up and are left disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Follow the path Part travelogue, part history, part spirituality. Kathie Lee and Rabbi Jason have beautifully woven together an amazing book based on Jesus' spiritual teachings from the Bible. This book will be great on its own or studied along with the videos. I used it for a book club and a Bible study group. Amazing read. I learned new things each time I read it.
