about

A first-date dud, socially awkward and overly fond of quick-dry clothes, genetics professor Don Tillman has given up on love, until a chance encounter gives him an idea.

He will design a questionnaire—a sixteen-page, scientifically researched questionnaire—to uncover the perfect partner. She will most definitely not be a barmaid, a smoker, a drinker or a late-arriver. Rosie is all these things. She is also fiery and intelligent, strangely beguiling, and looking for her biological father a search that a DNA expert might just be able to help her with.

The Rosie Project is a romantic comedy like no other. It is arrestingly endearing and entirely unconventional, and it will make you want to drink cocktails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Such a good book and so funny! Don makes me think of Sheldonin BBT a bit (although Don is more of a grownup nerd whereas Sheldon is more of a "haven't grown up yet" nerd) - highly recommend if you are looking for an easy read and/or a comedy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SO CUTE i loved this book so much. I am a science enthusiast and a hopeless romantic. This book is literally me and everything I can imagine. It tied the two things about me into a book and it's just so amazing to read something so different from your typical love stories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HILARIOUS One of the coolest main characters I've had the pleasure to encounter, and a smart story. Very fun and heart-warming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unable to put this book down What a quirky, nerdy character. I absolutely adored him!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Entertaining Rom-Com Novel It's easy to imagine this book as an enjoyable rom-com movie. Don Tillman is such a wonderfully ingenuous character that you cannot help root for him to "get the girl." The writer does a great job of putting obstacles in his way, which keeps you turning pages, holding your breath, and hoping he will succeed! A quick and entertaining read, although I preferred The Rosie Effect, which I read first and which stands on its own well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Father Prooject Absolutely love this book. The nerdy character was absolutely beautiful and well written and Rosie is every woman who has ever had daddy issues. The last couple characters were really interesting that I could not put down the book. You should read it some time, if you haven't already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from charming book! 1. Great plot, quick read. 2. Love story told in a mans point of view, makes it unique 3. Don gives me Sheldon Cooper/Spencer Reid vibes and I'm loving it! Pick this book up if you want a a new and fresh sort of love story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funny, witty, and oddly charming This IS Sheldon Cooper and it's amazing. This genre isn't usually one that I'm drawn to. It was recommended by a friend and I'm so happy I listened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the funniest books I've ever read! This book had me laughing non-stop. If you like Sheldon Cooper, from The Big Bang Theory, then you'll love this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I laughed out loud i've read some of the other reviews - boring flat characters, predictable plot - yes it has all those things. This is a 'rom com' of books BUT I still enjoyed it. Don't pick up this book as a 'serious' read - its lighthearted, and yes it's written from a unique perspective. This 'Sheldon Cooper' type is socially awkward, but the author uses this to work in some pretty funny moments in the book. So a life changing epic, it is not, but I did laugh out loud reading it. Great vacation read!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Romantic fluff, with annoying guy The main character in this novel is so annoying that it was painful to read. It seems like a very unlikely romance, that would never happen in real life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A delightful read This is well written and an easy read. Delightfully original romantic plot that at times is so funny you will laugh out loud. I have recommended to all my friends as well as one complete stranger on the beach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asperger delight Funny, insightful, entertaining. A view of people and how they think that is rarely experined in the "non-aspie" world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The rosie project This is a wonderful, funny, heart warming story. I have a grandson with autism spectrum. I hope he grows up to be as quirky, adventurous and, yes, compassionate (in his own way) as Don. I look forward to The Rosie Effect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Rosie Project Fantastic, Funny read! As a teacher I see kids like Don all the time. Asberger's def creates some interesting social challenges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The rosy project Great fun ! And unlike nearly all contemperary thriller writers, a happy ending! I hope he keeps on writing as he has an engaging style and wit!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs to be read I could not put this story down. It is told in Don's voice only, but he is so anal that you do not need anyone else's voice telling the story. I was skeptical at first, but after the first chapter, I was hooked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too cute very light hearted This book is lovely. It is truly too cute. Don is quirky, and you start to understand his way of thinking. This book made me giggle and smile through and through. Some reviews are saying that it is making a joke and exploiting autism or asperges, on the contrary, this light hearted novel plays in understanding the different ways people function. Don is highly functioning in his disability, and you will fall in love with his character. This was a great read, I finished it quite quickly :) Very pleased

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Rosie Project Loved the characters and the storyline right from the first paragraph. Nice combination of humour and serious subject matter. The author does not ramble on unnecessarily but rather he stays on topic. Can't wait to read the next book in ths series.
