The story that brings the Ranger's Apprentice arc full-circle!

Will Treaty has come a long way from the small boy with dreams of knighthood. To add to his problems, the time has come to take on an apprentice of his own, and it’s the last person he ever would have expected. Fighting his personal demons, Will has to win the trust and respect of his difficult new companion—a task that at times seems almost impossible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Royal Ranger An overall good ending to a series that has kept me enthralled with dry humor and interesting storytelling since I was kid. I love watching characters grow and this book shows the circle of life never stops. Loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thrilling At the start i was eternally sad... Finding out what had happened and somehow this book had gradually brought me back to my senses. From there it became just as good as the other books... If not better Spectacular

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost excellent... Good read, nice addition. A little anticlimactic and a bit harsh against Will. He is better than he is written in the book. Looking forward to the next few books! Very sad that so many beloved characters died to make this ONE book. :'(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Royal Ranger-12 I've read this entire series and I can honestly say its the best series apart from HP that I've ever read. This book actually made me cry and its a book everyone can read, adults children and my grandfather even read them! Absolutely love the book and just wow

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great series by a master storyteller! My teenage grandsons (17 and 15) and I now own all the Ranger Apprentice and Brotherband Chronicles novels by John Flanagan and we constantly re-read them. They are truly a great series written by a master storyteller. We have followed Will's life with avid interest and also the lives of his friends as well. This book brings a wonderful closure to the series (eliciting tears from Grandma in her sorrow for Will's pain) and I am rather sad that we will not be having more adventures with him. I have particularly appreciated how Flanagan has incorporated life's issues into the story lines of each novel; the societal and moral dilemmas that his characters have faced, have been resolved with integrity and intelligence. And...  we still have some more of Brotherband Chronicles to anticipate... YAY!
