Rated 3 out of 5 by from An Okay Read I read the books because I found out they were based on the television show of the same name. Although there are major differences between the tv series and the novels, I have to side with the tv series for its creativity. I love all the characters and how they each had their own unique personality, but I think there were too many to give each character a strong role. The tv series also used way more magic and not just the group spells with the candles. The novels may have been more accurate in the witch culture, but in the end it wasn't as entertaining.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good It picked up right where the first book left off, which I really liked. It was a little slow moving at times and it didn't getting really interesting and intense until the hurricane. I would still recommend this series because overall it is really good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oh My Heavens! ***** Spoiler Alert***** This book was fantastic. The first one was a great start but this one was even better. I couldn't believe that Cassie started dating Nick. I really like him in this novel. He really understood that Cassie was not in love with him but he was still willing to be there for her. All along her mind was forcing herself to fall in love with Nick since he was such a good guy-- especially to her. He was so good to her knowing the truth. In the opposite hand Faye blackmailing her all along but I was glad in the end the truth was out and everyone found out what Faye was doing to her but I did feel really bad for Diana when she found out about her boyfriend Adam and her best friend and adoptive sister Cassie. In the end however, everything turned out faboulously. Black John, who turns out to be Cassie's father gets destroyed by Cassie. The master tools are found. Cassie's mother gets cured and Diani tell Cassie that she can NEVER love anyone else but Adam because they both are soul mates and she gives her the chaelsedony (sp) rock to her too and tells that Adam and Cassie should be together from now on, Faye, Diana and Cassie become leaders of the coven however, I was sad at fist that Cassie's grandmother get's murdered by Black John but it was for the best. I did get surprised too that Sean was manipulated by Black John and that he was the murderer because Black John was controlling him and he didn't even realize it. All in all, this novel was a great read and I would recommend it to anyone that would love a great witch read! :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much Improved I must say I found the first volume of The Secret Circle to be lacking something and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would after falling in love with the Vampire Diaries (can't wait for the next) but the second volume recaptured my interest and I was quite enthralled with the series despite hardly tolerating it the first time I looked at it. I suggest you read the Secret Circle if for no reason other than the fact that the second imroves on the first!!
