Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beauitful edition of this childhood classic! I always loved this story as a child and even now as an adult. I find it very enjoyable. I very much like Mary (maybe not in the beginning) and the idea of the secret garden and the importance of nature and the outdoors for children. I loved playing outside as a child and I believe that this book captures that so perfectly! Great book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Childhood Classic I loved animals when I was younger (I still do), but reading about Dickens and his love for animals just kind of made me love them even more. I digress, The Secret Garden is so much more than just a kid with wild animals. Mary was oh so unlikable in the beginning, but as she discovers this secret garden, she starts to change with the help of those around her (I mean, I think she saw a bit of herself in Colin and she helped him realise he was being a bit of a prat). This is always be a very special book to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely classic. I'm currently in the middle of reading this and I love the story so far. It is a classic story so the writing is different and can be a little confusing if you aren't used to reading older stories. It is a great story though and is definitely worth a read.
