about

Oprah had a lightbulb moment when she connected with Debbie Ford′s shadow work. Now, Debbie deepens our shadow work and shows how our shadow side holds the key to our happiness. Each of us has a shadow that whispers stories of our own self-defeating fears to us-for example: that we aren′t enough, that we are unworthy of being loved, that we will be deserted by those whom we care about. Debbie guides us to hear those stories and find the positive message within each of them. She shows how understanding our own shadow side can lead us to lives of tremendous fulfillment and peace. Full of case studies and exercises, this book complements her first book on shadow work, which has sold almost half a million copies.

Debbie Ford is the New York Times bestselling author of The Dark Side of the Light Chasers and Why Good People Do Bad Things. She conducts workshops around the world and lives in La Jolla, California, with her son.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Profound, down to earth Debbie comes from her own experience and from this place she explains very clearly and with examples how and when we created our story, how we use it and how it could be a gift if we choose to learn from it and take responsibility. She also explains what our shadow is and the importance of embracing it so we can live as a whole and be happy and not feel incomplete. She talks as well about being a victim vs being responsible, telling the truth vs lying to ourselves and underlying commitments. At the end of every chapter there are exercises to help you get in touch with your process at recognizing your story, your shadow and to go deeper into your personal work. Great inspirational and deep book for people that are interested in self awareness, personal development and that want to learn more about themselves and to grow. She is a very talented writer and most important she lives by this work and teaches others about the Shadow Process. She is a professional inthis process.
