Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr This is wonderful book. It captures the siege of Leningrad so well you actually feel like your there omongst the starving people. Helen Dunmore writes with such clarity and emotion, she sweeps you along in a tide of exploration into the minds of poor starving people, the likes of which are required to stoop so low in order to survive.
