Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm love this book? Wow...I did not see any of this coming...I should have, but I did not. Everything is right there. It's Genius. A Genius book. I am going to reread the first two, and this one, before starting on The Crown of Dalemark. In any case this is my favourite so far, and I'm trying to be more coherent but it's very difficult, because there are so many details and magics and it really is WOVEN, in a beautiful, stunning way. Let's just say I love Tanaqui and her little family, and all of their quirks and imperfections, and I love the RIVER and the journey they go on. Heavier than most Diana Wynne Jones books, but equally magical, if a little more subtle. A Winner. Makes me want to write a Masterpiece of my own.
