Bayport High’s Varsity cheer squad is made up of the hottest of the hot. But this A-list is dangerous in more ways than one. The Squad is actually a cover for the most highly trained group of underage government operatives the United States has ever assembled. They have the perfect cover, because, beyond herkeys and highlights, no one expects anything from a cheerleader.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure Fun! Hacker Toby Klein hates cheerleaders. They're dizty, annoying and really have nothing in common with her. Until she gets recruited to a secret meeting. Via notes stuffed into her locker. And then she's even PICKED for the squad. Toby can't believe she now knows a girl called "Bubbles." Shocking? Then it turns out that, despite her lack of short skirts, Toby just might fit in with the Squad. Because in reality...the cheerleading is just a coverup. They're actually spies! After a "phase 6" makeover, Toby's ready to take on the bad guys. Are they ready for her? Jennifer Lynn Barnes' PERFECT COVER, is a good, fun read. Despite the unlikely premise, she manages to make it seem so real. Her characters are hilarious and understandable and you can't help but root for Toby along the way! This book was terrific, and one of my new favorites. Pick this up, along with it's sequel KILLER SPIRIT (Heaven knows I need to get it now) and prepare for a glittery and thrilling ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Book - Couldn't Put it Down!! What a fabulous new series for teens. Toby thinks the cheerleaders at ther school are just the normal teenage ditzy girls. Then she gets an invitation to join the squad. And she find out they are working as spies for a top U.S. agency. The girls have advanced martial arts. And work out hard and cheer but it is only a cover story because, come on, who would ever suspect the cheerleaders? Some of the girls are awesome cheerleaders who get trained in a new skill. Some are like Toby, with her hacking/computer skills who need a level 6 makeover to look like a cheerleader and a lot of work on the cheers. This was a really great book I couldn't put down and the second one is already out!!!!
