     Jett Chastain is your average eighteen year old boy.  Or is he?  Born under the sign of the Scorpion, he displays unusual agility and speed.  However, his unusual talents have little likelihood of being discovered.  As member of Syccar's Sector, he is considered part of the lower class system.  Living at an orphanage for boys, he becomes a scrap raider, running raids at night to keep them from starving.  It is a secret and dangerous operation, especially with Child Hunters lurking in the shadows.

    When Mr. Harding becomes the new director of Syccar's Orphanage for boys, Jett becomes suspicions.  The head director plans to exploit his skills, and sells him to a Professional Training Center for Syccar’s contestants. 

    Jett’s spirit is tested by new and unapproved training techniques.  Mr. Pollack, supervisor of Syccar’s Training Facility, will do whatever it takes to break his defiance.  Jett is forced to realize that if he stays, he will die.  Besides, why fight for the freedom of the very people who took his?  And so he runs.  Broken, untrusting, and dangerous; he refuses to return to the society that took everything from him.  Though equipped for survival, he is injuries are lethal.  To evade capture, he must trust again.  But will he?  And if he does, will he return to the Terminal XII Games?
