Winner of the Nebula Award for Best Novel 2018
Nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel 2018

The shattering conclusion to the post-apocalyptic and highly acclaimed New York Times bestselling trilogy that began with The Fifth Season, winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2016, and The Obelisk Gate, winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2017.

The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women.

Essun has inherited the power of Alabaster Tenring. With it, she hopes to find her daughter Nassun and forge a world in which every orogene child can grow up safe.

For Nassun, her mother's mastery of the Obelisk Gate comes too late. She has seen the evil of the world, and accepted what her mother will not admit: that sometimes what is corrupt cannot be cleansed, only destroyed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is how you end a series I love reading trilogies. Sometimes though book 3 seems rushed like the author is trying to cram so many things in 1 tiny book. Or doesn't quite know how to end the story. Not this book. What a finale. The author took her time. So you are immersed in that world further as everything unravels. This is how all trilogies should end! What a wonderful series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A worthy conclusion to the Broken Earth Trilogy While I did not feel Stone Sky reached the greatness of The Obelisk Gate, it remains a fascinating story with a gripping, and yet still wholly personal and grounded (no pun intended) conclusion. Broken Earth is one of the best fantasy series of the last few years, without a doubt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A heart-wrenching and deeply satisfying ending Phew! Finishing this series has left me feeling drained and satisfied; just like a great book/series should. Intricate and profound. N.K. Jemisin knows how to suck readers in and how to leave a lasting impression.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantasy at Its Best What an amazing end to one of the best fantasy series I've read in a while. All the characters are so well fleshed out and their stories weaved together into a ending full of emotion and drama. I loved every word.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantasy A great end to a fantastic trilogy. I was surprised with the deeper dive into the world building in this book. The past that gets revealed is truly unique and ties together most of the underlying mysteries of the trilogy
