Andrew Lang (31 March 1844 – 20 July 1912) was a Scots poet, novelist,literary critic, and contributor to the field of anthropology.  
 Andrew was born in Selkirk. The writer's  family was big, he was eldest of eight children. Andrew's mother named Jane Plenderleath Sellar, who was the daughter of Patrick Sellar,  factor to the first duke of Sutherland and lawyer. 

Andrew Lang helped  Henry Rider Haggard publish his novel “King Solomon’s Mines”, and wrote with him some writings.
Thanks to diversity of interests he has been recognized from Jorge Luis Borges. Luis Borges was famous publicist of South America.
The Three Crowns  is a short fiction love story created by Andrew Lang. The king had a three daughter. The two eldest were very proud and quarrelsome, but not a young sister, she believed in true  love and it made her so happy. They didn’t know what awaits them. It’s a good tale for girls.
