Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) was a French writer best known for his historical novels of high adventure which have made him one of the most widely read French authors in the world. Many of his novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte de Bragelonne were originally serialized, and he also wrote plays and magazine articles and was a prolific correspondent. Dumas works have become so popular around the world that people are instantly familiar with the Musketeers All for One and One for All Motto, the revenge of Dantes, and the Man in the Iron Mask. The Three Musketeers, one of his most famous works, features the exploits of Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, whose rallying cry "all for one and one for all" is still a popular motto. Dumas wrote it at a time when he was practicing fencing himself. This edition of Dumas The Three Musketeers is specially formatted with a Table of Contents and is illustrated.
