For generations, the descendants of the powerful telepath known as The Rowan have used their talents to benefit humanity. As human civilization reached out to colonize the stars, the family led Earth to ally itself with the peaceful alien Mrdini. Together, the two races have held back the predatory Hivers, who once decimated entire worlds.

But there are factions on Earth who resent the power the family has accumulated. Now, with their goals of peace and prosperity so close at hand, The Rowan’s descendants face the looming destruction of all they have suffered to achieve…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tower and The Hive This is the last book in the series of the Rowan. This series will be sadly missed by all the fans. The grandchildren of the Rowan and the Raven, with the help of the Mrdini go out into space to stop the Hive from destroying other worlds. All the children have a part in this. The book ends off the next generation about to be born to Laria and Kincaid with others to follow shortly. There should be another book written when these children grow up. All the books in this series deserve thumbs up from the critics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tower and the Hive This was an excellent book, one of my favorite in the complete series. I eagerly anticipate the next book in the Rowan series, as Anne McCaffrey leaves this one hanging....Damia has several more children that haven't grown up yet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent book "The Tower and the Hive" is a wonderful book that wraps up the loose ends of the Gwyn-Raven clan and their fight with the beetles. I really enjoyed this book because it concludes the saga in a non-aggressive way as well as wrapping up all the personal loose ends as well.
