From the bestselling author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG

Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the smelliest, nastiest, ugliest people in the world. They hate everything—except playing mean jokes on each other, catching innocent birds to put in their Bird Pies, and making their caged monkeys, the Muggle-Wumps, stand on their heads all day. But the Muggle-Wumps have had enough. They don't just want out, they want revenge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amusing Such a short book but hilarious the entire way through. I tried to explain this story to my cousin when I was younger and she tried to convince me revolting wasn't a word... and I told her to read this book. She hasn't but it's a great book and I've always remembered it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underrated Dahl is known for James and The Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG - but some of the slim volumes are even better. The Twits is a quick read, and a very fun one. I loved this book when I was in Grade 4, and as an adult, I purchased it and another one of my favourite Roald Dahl books. This book will grab you from the first page. Truly awful main characters who you want to root against. Great fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My kids' favourite Dahl thus fara I read The Twits to my boys a couple times a year. They just love it. It's so bizarre! Kids love tales where the bad guys get what they've got coming. The revenge plot in this gem of a story is particularly twisted--just like the Twits! Like most of Dahl's work, it's a delight to read aloud with horrible, ugly voices for Mr. and Mrs. Twit. Hipster dads may feel a little self-conscious of their facial hair after the first chapter, so consider yourselves warned Beardos! ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Under-rated but as good as his other works This one doesn't get talked about so much, or receive much in the way of adaptions. Still it is very funny and heart warming and definately up there with his best works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Twits I read it in one day though I'm not good at english. Mr. Dahl's stories make me smile. Every children should have thought about this kind of punishment in the story. The Twits makes it real : )

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disgusting, dark, grim, and great! The twits are a couple of disgusting, nasty, mean, trick-playing filthy people told in that wonderful over-the-top style Dahl is known for. You can't help but laugh at their antics, and the tale is a delight for children and adults both. Dahl's ability to describe things with a few evocative words never ceases to amaze me - I cringed at his description of the wretched Mr. Twit's beard, and my niece and nephew howled with delight at the way the Twits are eventually given their comeuppance. By no means a serious story, but nonetheless, a worthwhile read!
