Rated 3 out of 5 by from "The Vampire with the Dragon Tatoo" by Kerrelyn Sparks. Book 14 in the Love at Stake series. I liked this book. The overall story theme of forgiving one's self for past conceived failures was apparent throughout the book for the main character of Dougal. Dougal is a vampire warrior that blames himself for the death of the woman he loved over 300 years ago. No one knows about Dougal's past and that's the way he wants it. But when he meets Leah there is a connection between them that he just can't deny. Leah is his long lost love reincarnated. He's found her again and this time he's not going to lose her. Leah is a geneticist. She just found out that vampires (and many other things) are real. She's been hired to help the vampires with their mission to take down the evil Master Han by saving the people that are under Master Han's control by genetic mutation. How is she supposed to get any work done when a certain gorgeous Scottish vampire won't leave her alone? The story line of this book was good. I really enjoyed seeing the relationship develop between Dougal and Leah. It was also interesting to see what was happening to another character, Russel, who went "rogue" a few books ago. And I really enjoyed the subplot for Lazslo! (I don't want to say to much about that but...I hope Lazslo gets a happy ending too!) Overall, I liked this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captivating book This is one series you dont ever want for it to stop. Have read all the books in this series and although all kept me on my toes, this one brought tears to my eyes when Leah was struggling to remember the lost love that she had. -- and I've read the series at least thrice! Well done to the Author, am anticipating more books of this series!
