Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stephen King Has Met His Match Who would have thought that the novelization of a comic book could be anything close to the real deal, but that is exactly what the writing team of Kirkman and Bonansinga have accomplished. Stephen King has been actively transforming his ovels into comic books, Kirkman and Bonansinga have proven hat reversing the order of transformation can be equally successful. I look forward to experiencing the remaining installments in the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is the governor the way he is? Have you ever wondered why the governor is the bad man that he is? Well this book helps you understand that and a lot more. This was an easy read that was hard to put down. The whole series is great for any Walking Dead fan. You encounter some characters from the show but see things from the bad guy's side of things. Thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good read It was a good read. It was also easy to get through. I enjoyed the chronicle of the trip to Woodbury and the character development can be seen throughout. It makes you a million times more sympathetic towards the hardended governor you see in the show and in yhe graphic novels

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clear some time to read, your going to need it!!! Truly great writing; not only did it keep me reading, but it made me obsessed with finding out what came next. This is not the type of book you start and then put aside for a couple of days because you become busy, NO, this is a book that hauls you so far into it that you actually rush through you daily chores just to get back to it. Thanks guys for the exceptional journey, I only wish there was more!! (I can't actually get into comics, but if you release another novel.....) No question, if you are into this genre, you have to read this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing The imagery that kirkman is able to put into words is phenomenal. Essentiao to any Walking Dead fan who wants to understand one of the biggest, baddest villains in comic history. And for folks who don't know the walking dead lineage it's a great way to get into it! Great read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never thought I'd love the Dead this much! :) I got into the Waking Dead during Season 1 on TV. I feel in love with the concept and idea behind it that I bought this Novel! This is a must read for all Walking Dead Fans! I would suggest getting this before the Season 3 comes out! Reading this book first, and then the comic is highly suggested. The books are always better ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor This book follows the rise of the governor from the Walking Dead comics. Most importantly it examines how he has come to be the crazy person that he is. I was hesitant to read this because I afraid a novel wouldn't match to the amazingness that is the comic books but it was just as good. I couldn't put the book down, it some points it scares the crap out of you and at other places it throws twists right into your face. It is quite a dark novel though, just an fyi.
