Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why Don't You Already Own This?! This is one of the first books I bought on the craft and it probably took me the longest to get through. It reads like a history textbook and some of the footnotes take up 90% of the page. Personally I wish I had bought the books (yes it is two books tossed into one binding) separately just because the thickness is hard on the binding. Don't Let this Scare you though! The book overviews the history or the Craft and is very good at covering its subjects. I highly recommend buying this book OR buy the two books, Eight Sabbats for Witches and The Witches'' Way separately. You need to know this stuff either way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for adepts For some witchcraft is easy like riding a bike and others need to work a little harder than most. To me this the most comprensive book on witchcraft or wicca i would recomend this book to the adept wiccan not for the new. For those just starting .... get bucklands complete book of witchcraft .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Rich View of Covencraft This is a massive work of excellent information. It provides deep historical background for the rituals and calendars of the old religion, while keeping the reader entertained with insightful commentary derived from the writers' own indepth experiences. A must for all who crave the wisdom of the ancients!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's not what they meant I bought this book in the idea that I would learn more on spells and how to write one, but the book only goes on historic of witches, the good and the bad spells and rituels. Nothing on how to cast a spell for any kind of situation. The writers give you good description on tools , places to goto do rituels, the name of each rituels and so on, but nothing on how to cast a spell; though the writers say that most people are interested on them. So if you get in the idea by the title, you'll learn how to cast a spell, it's not a good book, if you want to learn more on the historic and so, go on it's the book for you.
