In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he’s only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he’s one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk—and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom.

But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than expected. Because he knows so much—maybe too much—he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth.

The stakes are high, but Theo won’t stop until justice is served.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review Excellent, as always. Well written, good style, not a word, not obe description is useless. The theme focusses one one aspect of the law. It's like a course made easy to understand and learn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Theodore Boone: kid lawyer Very light read, not the usual mystery of John Grisham's novels, but a cute story of a cute kid. I will only read more of this series when I absolutely have nothing else to read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for young and old alike!! My Mother is in her 90's with advancing dementia and has always been an avid reader but now finds it hard to concentrate, John Grisham is her favourite author. This book was enjoyable and easy to follow for her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boring I loved this book so much. I wasn't particularly into the law genre but I rad this book and I am now really into law. I have always wanted to be a police officer but now I am certain that's what I want to be. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. Seriously, just give it a try you will love it!!! ♥♥♥

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great book for younger readers I was not aware that John Grisham was again expanding his writing forays into another genre. For as much as I read, it is well written for 13 year olds, as the protagonist is, and I believe that it is also recommended for those younger. It will show those younger people interested in the law some of its practices with some added excitement.. I have put this book aside as a Christmas gift for my grandson.
