Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome page-turner! This is a fun read from start to finish. Steve writes of the experience of his journey into sports media, with personal, entertaining stories along the way. From working at the Toronto Zoo to covering the 2010 Olympics, you look forward to the next chapter and what new story he has to share! He is open with his readers about both his successes and failures, and writes of them with humour and humility; a natural story-teller that will keep you engaged. Leafs fans, hockey fans and sports fans in general will really appreciate this book, as Steve relays his experiences of hockey games and athlete meetings. Even non-sport readers will appreciate the life lessons and personal stories shared. And his honest, inner-monologue will keep you laughing! You will be an even bigger fan of him after this book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real good book by a real good pl’r I was so happy to see this come early, it made my day! I couldn’t put it down either! It made me laugh and cry and made me so proud to be a fan of Steve’s. He takes the reader on a very honest and relatable journey through life growing up in Toronto in the 90’s and 2000’s and into the start of his channel onto a series of bigger and bigger opportunities he’s earned in the 2010s. What a journey it is! Whether you love the leafs half as much as Steve, are a diehard bruins fan or don’t really know much about hockey, this is an inspiring book that encourages you, the reader, to believe in yourself, to take risks in the pursuit of living the most authentic life you can, and to not take things for granted, while also compelling the reader to root for Steve, both in the confines of every little story and for his continued happiness and success for whatever comes his way on the horizon.
