about

A New York Times bestseller, Three Wishes is the funny, heartwarming and completely charming first novel from Liane Moriarty, also the author of #1 New York Times bestsellers The Husband’s Secret, Big Little Lies, and Truly Madly Guilty.

Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful thirty-three-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Together, laughter, drama, and mayhem seem to follow them. But apart, each is dealing with her own share of ups and downs. Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage, and Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, holds out hope for lasting love. In this wise, witty, and hilarious novel, we follow the Kettle sisters through their tumultuous thirty-third year as they deal with sibling rivalry and secrets, revelations and relationships, unfaithful husbands and unthinkable decisions, and the fabulous, frustrating life of forever being part of a trio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The characters made the story I have officially read all Liane Moriarty books! My favorite novel by her, and that influenced my Liane Moriarty reading spree, was "Little Big Lies." "Three Wishes" had me laughing out loud in public, i'd read something Gemma said and i'd burst out laughing so hard. Then the plot turned and revealed some serious heartbreak and I had tears in my eyes. I will say, I would love to beat the crap out of Cat's husband with a stiletto shoe, I hated this character soooo much! He is the devil. Lyn's toddler was spot on, she brought some cuteness to the story. All the characters so real, they almost came off of the page. The character building needless to say was perfect, the emotions they make you feel from string dislike, to falling in love with (Lyn's husband) I specifically didn't want to do a review on what the book is about, you can find that on the back cover of the book, I focused mainly on my review of the characters, because they really stood out and brought an ok story alive. If I was basing my review on the plot i'd give it 3 stars, just because it's been done and is kind of predictable. I felt like the characters were real people in my life. Like I said it was the characters that grabbed my heart, so 5 stars for that!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I wanted to read all of Liane Moriarty's books because I loved A Husbands Secret but Three Wishes was disappointing. The story line was boring and it was a hard book to get into. It was one of those books that didn't get you hooked. #plumreview
