When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees.
Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.
Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I could read it all over again Do you ever go on a vacation or go to a concert and think, damn I want to experience that all over again. Well it's the same with this book. The way that the author detailed this book with mystery, lust, love, and past events is so astounding. This isn't just a book about sex, there's a whole new world in these series. For those of you who enjoy a good romance novel, this is for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smut is crap I hated this book. Smut novels aren't really my thing, but that isn't really what bothered me. The language was so immature I felt like I was reading a book written by a 12 year old. 12 year old girls shouldn't know or experience these things. I could not get past that feeling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite of all 3 The end of the fairytale. My favorite parts of the book: The Bracelet, the R8, Ray being sick and Ana realizing how much she cares for him, Ana in the hospital...I loveeed this book

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fifty Shades of ... thank goodness it's the last book I continued reading the third book based on a recommendation from a friend, which I did. As much as I really did not enjoy the first two books, I was really hoping the final book of the series would finally bring a story line...well, yes and no. The whole part of Jack was extremely the worst thing ever - it was just not necessary and was seems like it was put in there to attempt to make a story line. The ending of the book was naturally predictable but continued as the first two did. I admit, the writing wasn't too bad but I really wish there was more of a story line. Not too impressed with this series, I must admit but I did manage to read all the books.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from To quit or not to quit 3 stars because it was definitely better than the second one but not quite five stars because nothing could top the initial satisfaction of the first one. Most of the plot was rather redundant, the conversations, sex scenes, details, circumstances. Ana and Christian are still on a power struggle and an emotional see-saw. I did really like the ending, especially the author giving us a glimpse of Christian's perspective. That was ingenious of her and gratuitous for the readers. Bottom line is the first one was the best one but nothing reviewers say or do will stop you from reading the entire series if you want to. Overall, thank you E L James for getting people to pull their brains out of their overly technological asses and getting a book. No one has been this monumental/sensational in the literary world since J.K Rowling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked this one best of the three *****SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS BOOKS IN SERIES***** Ana and Christian are now married. Even married, their lives are filled with excitement (no, not just sex), as someone still seems to be after Christian. He has security posted everywhere and to Ana's chagrin, he doesn't want her to do much of anything, certainly not without security following her around. *****END SPOILER***** I really liked this one. There was lots going on to keep me interested. It kind of picked up where book 2 left off, in intensity, I think. Most of the 2nd book was slower for me, so for a while, I wasn't sure if I wanted to finish the series, but with how book 2 ended, I decided to and I'm glad I did. I think I liked this one best of all three, though I've rated it the same as the first one. Christian sure infuriates me at times, though!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good ending to it I really loved the first book and as the story went on, it kind of disapointed me little by little. I think maybe it's all the sex involved or something, but there was something missing in the last book that had the first book. Even though that was a disapointement, the ending really made up fo it. The end brought a big smile on my face and I liked that a few pages after, the author writes about what Christian thinks about. It was a good book.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst of the Series Enjoyed the first book, like the second book, thought this book was very slow. The ending was good, but there was too much to get through to get there. It just wasn't as "dark" as the first book, which is what I enjoyed about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK The last book of the series wasn’t my favourite but it was still very good and had me hooked onto every word. Anastasia and Grey are finally married. After being on their honeymoon for a couple weeks, it is time to return to reality. As much as they don’t want to leave their little bubble, they know they must. Anastasia wants to go back to work after Christian insists adamantly for her to stay home. He reveals to her that he wants her to run the company but Anastasia isn’t ready for running her own business and wouldn’t know where to start. Throughout the entire book Anastasia annoys me. She is whiney and won’t give Christian the satisfaction of knowing if he asks her to do something, she will listen. She never listens to him and looks for the opportunity to go against his rules in every form. He tells her to stay home and not go out for drinks. She agrees; but then what does she do? Goes out for drinks with Kate. For once, woman, listen to your husband. As much as she bothered me, I still loved the book. Hyde gets released on bail and goes after Anastasia. I don’t want to ruin what else happens, so you are going to have to read it and find out. I was going to give this book four stars but I had to give it a five for the ending. After the book finishes, the author decided to write when Christian and Anastasia meet for the first time, but in Christian’s perspective. I loved every minute of that. As well as she wrote Christians first Christmas with the Grey’s. It was so sweet. I will leave it at that and tell everyone who is reading this review to go out and get the books. Don’t want to buy them? Email me, I will send you a copy. Shh, don’t tell anyone though. I cannot wait until the movie comes out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed it! I can see how opinions can go both ways, I did feel it drug on a bit. In the end though, I fell in love with the story and the characters. I was sad that it ended and wanted more! I enjoyed all three books!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hot and bothered is now ended... The opulent life, the sex and the drama with Grey continues. But will they make it or will this be their demise? See what crap hits the fan and how they make it out alive (or not). Enjoy. The 'fluff' read time is over, now back to some substantial literature. My inner goddess is rolling her eyes with the look of "FINALLY woman!". hehe

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great until the end I hate when the first book is unreal , the second sucks but you have the read the last just to see how the story ends, well let me just sat that I'm so glad to be done with this series ... only part of this book i liked was the ending ... i mean come on I think they said " I love you " more times then was needed .. Went from really Kinky to overly mushy :(
Date published: 2012-07-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG! So sad its over I've never read a trilogy so fast. I was consumed by the action, excitement and the overall need for wanting more (like Ana Steele - couldn't keep my hands off it). After all are read and done - I'm left wanting more from EL James, Ana & Christian. The action was good the excitement was great well the kinky f*&^%ery made me speechless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Utterly boring. I always have the highest expectations for the last book in a trilogy series. However, this book - especially at the beginning and middle - was so mundane. It seems like Erika knows a LOT about sex, though. But seriously, the whole setting and line of events just seemed so disordered; my book was about to hit the dust on my shelf. But, near the ending, it gets slightly more interesting. The only part I really liked was near the very end when she provided Christian's perspective. Honestly though, I think she could have done a better job. I mean, the first and second book were pretty good, but this one did not meet my expectations. It's all very esoteric, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing end! This book was really great! A great way to end the trilogy! It made me want to read the entire series again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC!!! I absolutly LOVED this book, I've read the whole trilogy twice now & can't wait to see who they cast as Christian Grey in the movie version of this book trilogy I have recommended & will continue to recommend this trilogy to everyone I know It really has a way of heating up things up in your bedroom, I know a few husbands that are now encouraging their wives/girlfriends etc to read these books Excellent Fantastic story very well writen & easy to get lost in =) I can't wait to see if E.L. James comes up with more because she has certainly left it wide open for the saga to continue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sad it's over Loved this trilogy, that I am even going to read it again slower. I could relate to Ana and could see how & why she feel in love with Christian. I have my own Christian that I married as well, minus the BDMS. I am not familiar with it but kept me very intrigued. So sad it's over! I understand everyone's concern about feminism and all that but seriously have you not fallen for someone so much that you would be willing to try something different for them and vice versa (safely and that wasn't illegal, of course)? Ana was a consenting adult.....when she realized her limit was reached she stopped! Overall if you are not open minded on sex and "exploring" different concepts, if looking for something intellectual to read or to be mezmorized by the writing then this trilogy is not the books for you. To enjoy a good read of fantasy, sexuality and romance then you'll love it like I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So In Love I fell in love with Christian and I wished I could be Ana... I'm not in BDSM and I don't know a lot about it.... But Kinky ******* is a good word for it... I honestly haven't read anything in a few years and I read the whole series in less than a week. Love love loved it.... I wish it wasn't over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved the first 2, hated the 3rd, will not read 4th Loved the first book, COULD NOT put it down...2nd was equally good, the third...well..disappointing frankly
Date published: 2012-05-28
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oh man.... Sheer disappointment After reading the first two books of the Fifty Shades trilogy, my hopes were high for the third one. Oh my. How far-fetched can you get E.L James? I just can't put my finger on what I disliked more about the book. Was it the fact that the style of writing was changed from explicitly erotic and suspenseful to Harlequin vomit inducing romance and predictability--or maybe it was just that it was not believable? In my opinion, the third book shouldn't have been there at all. Then again, it was probably a good money-maker to publish a third book that people have high hopes for--too bad it fell a little short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Predictable but enjoyable This was a great series! I gave book three 4-stars because it was part of the series, and I just couldn't put the series down. On its own, it was predictable, with an anorexic plot. But let's face it - we weren't reading this series for plot! I enjoyed it and would recommend this series as mandatory beach/summer reading for anyone looking for a little spice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Great Series Another 4.5/5 stars this was a great conclusion for the Fifty Shades Of Grey series and I'm very happy I picked these books up beause I loved them. I thought the whole series was very solid and interesting, this book had great development with the characters and the story. Overall this was a great book and a great series and if you like Erotic Romance check these out but there not for everyone. :0)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fine Finale! I can't remember the last time I fell into a series so completely, and I'm sad to see this one come to an end. Although I liked the first book the best, I thought it was appropriate what the author did here with regards to Christian and Ana's HEA. I know a lot of people are criticizing these books for misrepresenting the BDSM lifestyle, and I can understand their POV, but let's face it, those of us reading these books are not necessarily looking to live this lifestyle, or using these books as research into the lifestyle, we have simply been captivated (and a little scandalized) by a love story we never dreamed we'd admit to reading...I would think whether it's accurate or not, it will help de- stigmatize something society has deemed dirty, and underground, and that can only be a good thing, and if it helps spice-up the bedrooms of the folks who read it, well...that ain't a bad thing either! At the end of the day, I was engrossed completely, thought the romance was smoking hot, the plot totally engaging, the responses of the characters honest and authentic, they grew and developed over the course of the trilogy, and in the end overcame their problems to find happiness....isn't that what romance novels are supposed to do?? Yeah, I thought so...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Hyped Up - Little Follow Through With the amount of buzz this book got in the ereader community I took a chance and bought all three at once. After starting book one I realized my mistake. The character progression is weak at best. More often than not I found myself rolling my eyes at how weak and infantile the main female character is. She doesn't know what she wants, doesn't know what she doesn't want and changes her mind with each breath she takes. I find it hard to relate to her when I find her patronizingly annoying. The premise has potential to be equal to that of Anne Rice's "Beauty" trilogy but doesn't even compare. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't waste my time or my money on it.
Date published: 2012-04-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Book Ever Written!! Found myself bypassing multiple pages and scenes, because, quite honestly there is no content to this book, no storyline, just sex, sex, and more sex. I am so tired of reading of the sex scenes. Simply put don't waste your money on this boring dribble. There is much more to life than this garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was addicted from start to glorious finish! I'm not much of a book reader - but my sis recommended this trilogy and I'm so glad she did, I literally could not get away from it - I loved every single page! Brilliantly written - GREAT BOOKS - GREAT story! Totally captivating! If you never read anything - READ THIS!
