The pulse-pounding finale to Lilith Saintcrow's urban fantasy series featuring Dante Valentine.

Dante Valentine has been through Hell. Literally. Her body shattered and her mind not far behind, she's dumped back into her own world to survive--or not--as a pawn in one of Lucifer's endless games.

Unfortunately, he's just messed with the wrong Necromance. And this time she's mad enough to do something about it.

This time, the Devil will pay.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from To Hell and Back (Dante Valentine #5) by Lilith Saintcrow If it were'nt for the fact that I wanted to complete the series, i would not have bothered, even the 4th installation was slow and painful. I am left uncleared as to who is Eve's Mother, personally, I do not think Dante is, just a hook for both reader and the poor misguided Dante. Worst yet, how discouraging that tierce Japh is left without a love you from Valentine, yep, we know she loves him, yes, we know he knows, after all he is a demon and can smell emotions, Also, find many great authors are simply extending the storyline in order to either extend the series or to have more profits. This annoys me to no end, that's why laurel k hamilton is on by thumbs down list.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wild Ending! It was great to read the ending and see how everything turned out. I wasn't expecting it to go the way it did, and think that every character got what they deserved. I'm really going to miss this impressive world-building. It was a fun series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! This is the last in a five book series that I totally loved. Saintcrow tells a great, original story and the characters are all gritty and real (well, as real as they can be in a paranormal universe). I love the heroine Dante Valentine - damaged, tough as nails but vulnerable too. You really feel for Danny - I'm sure I felt my heart ache for her a few times throughout the 5 books. If you like Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson or Keri Arthur's Riley Jensen, this is a series you should try. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from loved it I loved all five of the books. But this one was a bit different then the other ones. It was still really good though. The endign was nothing what I thought it would be, but it made it that more better.
