Rated 5 out of 5 by from absolutely unforgettable This novel was an enchanting escape from the everyday. Husk?s vivid descriptions bring both worlds to life in a big way. I thoroughly enjoyed how realistic her portrayal of the human world was, while descriptions became larger than life when we entered Annwyn. Not only was this novel visually descriptive but it was intricately developed. Husk brings forth a variety of fairy types, laying them all out for her readers to enjoy and understand. This is mixed into a captivating and exhilarating storyline that had me hooked. It was absolutely fantastic and I still can?t stop thinking about it. The main characters in this novel are so well developed that you can?t help but admire them. Their pasts and present collide in the challenge set before them. And these characters are not only easy to get to know through Husk?s storytelling, but they are also emotionally developed. You can feel it seeping through the pages of this novel. I also enjoyed getting to know the supporting cast. The distinct division between good and evil was evident right down to the character personalities. Ok, so now it?s confession time. This is the 3rd book in the series, and I haven?t read the 1st two. I loved it anyways. Husk has set the story up so that you can pick up at the beginning and read it as a standalone. I can also see where past stories play into background information and set-up that would have taken the story to an even higher level for me. I can also see the lead in to what may come next. It is definitely a must read for all lovers of fantasy romances. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
