Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Market To Market This is a wonderful Abbey book, that is just waiting to be "sang" to the preschool crowd. I am asked to do it again and again. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful coming photographs and drawings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Market To Market This is a fantastic book for the preschool crowd. It is roughly based on the nursery rhyme of the same title. However, the author puts a new and hilarious spin on the old rhyme. Janet Stevens, the illustrator, has taken and unusual approach in her illustrations: main characters appear in colour and the background and is in black and white. This allows the child to really focus on the page. Children love the story's rhythmic text and humorous pictures. Where else would you see a fish, a lamb and a hen in the dishwasher?
