Rated 3 out of 5 by from The book I keep opening but never finish This book sparks my interest and pulls me in at first, however I feel like I get bored part way through and can't finish what I started. Maybe a good read with a glass of wine and a bubble bath?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I really enjoyed the back and forth if how you didn't know who had hired them. I didn't like the last couple of chapters played out quickly but the wife and daughter made away with the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The ties that bind I'm giving this book 3.5/5 stars. I thought this author built the plot rather nicely. It was a mystery in the truest sense. The web was untangled for the reader as we went along. The author managed to tell the story in such a way that the reader was uncovering the mystery right along with investigators. This avoided a series of very annoying explanation chapters at the end of the book to tie everything together. In that way, this read was very satisfying. That said, I wasn't truly gripped by the mystery. I definitely didn't seen the ending coming, but I wasn't so moved that I was kept up late into the night reading. The characters weren't entirely likeable and each one was flawed in his or her own unlikeable way. I also found the ending to be rather unsatisfying. I suppose I wanted something more for the characters than they ultimately got (or deserved?).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant read! This is one of Lias Gardner's best efforts yet. So well written that even though it turned out the way I thought it was going to that I kept thinking I was wrong till the brilliant end. Well written and well wrapped up. I enjoyed every word.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Touch & Go Lisa Gardner is one of my favorite authors, I have read all but one of her books and rated them all 5*****. Just could not do that with this one though. Not much suspense, drama or quick page turning. I did however like the ending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular read, well worth the time. This book solidified in my mind just what a terrific mystery writer Lisa Gardner is. Touch & Go is all about the mystery. It's the breathless chase, jam packed action and multi layered whodunit that catches the reader. It's the best of late night, under the covers reading into the wee hours of the morning kind of book. I strongly recommend it to all of you, it is a fantastic read. In fact, it's even better than the first Lisa Gardner book I read, Catch Me. The very basics of the story is outlined on the back of the book and on Gardner's website, let me paraphrase: An entire family disappeared without a trace, with no witnesses, no motive and no ransom demand. Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life that looks good in the pages of a glossy magazine, with their gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street, their seemingly perfect marriage and their beautiful fifteen-year old daughter, Ashlyn. But when the entire family disappears without a trace, PI Tessa Leoni must discover their innermost secrets and race against the clock to try and rescue them before their perfect life goes up in smoke. In conclusion, let me say that this mystery kept me guessing up until the last dozen pages. This is really unusual for me. Mystery is my genre, I love to figure out what's going to happen significantly before it happens and I don't mean to sound boastful but I'm very good at it. It is so refreshing to read a whodunit and not actually know whodunit, lol. If you love mysteries like I do then go and buy Lisa Gardner's new book, you won't be disappointed, I promise.
