Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great I had heard good things about this author and so picked one of her titles at random and was disappointed. Too many loose ends. What's up with Dave? Why did he leave Kay high and dry and what was his secret? What happened to the chief ME? So many questions unanswered. Felt incomplete. Won't be reading her again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Impressed I found this book lacking in its originality and intrigue as compared to Cornwells previous novels. The plot was more of a sideboard it was not compelling and not developed properly. The novel spends most of its time delving into the characters and not very well at that. There was no climatic point in the book. I waited and waited for the big showdown instead I got a very blunt ending that left you wondering why you bothered to start reading the book in the first place. I do not recommend this book and I wish I had read some reviews before I bought it in hardcopy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing For a Cornwell novel, I was really disappointed in the read I got out of this book. I love Kay Scarpetta novels and have always enjoyed reading them over and over again. I could not belive the soft ending and really soft read all the way through. The back of the book is more interesting than the whole book combined. I have read almost every Cornwell novel and by far this is the worse one I have ever come across. I don't know if I'll read the next one. This book was a waste of my time and money.
