It seems like Jennie's real best friend is her diary. Then she meets Mr. Johnstone, the substitute math teacher. Jennie has never met such a charismatic teacher. She feels honored when Mr. J. seems to single her out for special attention, and begins to fantasize about him as her boyfriend. When Mr. J. first reveals his feelings for her, she is thrilled by the relationship that grows outside the classroom walls. Then, slowly, Jennie's diary becomes a record of her loneliness, pain, and confusion. Will it also offer her a way to escape from this treacherous love?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Treacherous Love This was a really good book! It was about a young girl that thinks she is in love with her teacher, and she truly believes he is in love with her to, Its sad to hear how she was so hurt by him, and how she was so still confused after everything happened! And I truly believe that when her father left she was looking for a older male to look up to, and take care of her, and the teacher seemed to really be in love with her and stuff so, she thought that he could be a father figure in her life! But he wasnt!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ! This was a really well written and plotted book. I could sort of see the story unraveling by the end. It says that this is a real story from a real diary. I sort of beleive that but i don't. I know these things can go on in real life but it somehow doesn't seem real. No one can be that good friends with their mom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Treacherous Love This is an amazing book! It's very emotional too, because of what her teacher does to her. She doesn't even realize that he's taking advantage of her. It talks about her struggles with her friendship, and how her teacher Mr.Johnstone befriended her, and used her. It's a great book, and it shows the truth from the victims point of view.
