#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan returns to the engrossing world of the paranormally gifted Drake sisters with the story of the wildest of them all...
Joley Drake was born with a legacy of unexpected magical gifts, but it was the gift of singing that made her an overnight sensation—a rock and roll goddess trapped by fame, fortune, and ambition. Heated by the flush of success, Joley could have any man she wanted. But there’s only man who can give her what she really needs...
Ilya Prakenskii is cool, inscrutable, dangerously sexy, and working in the shadow of his infamous reputation—that of a secret Russian hit man on the payroll of a notorious mobster. He’s the last man Joley should get close to, yet when her life is threatened on tour she has nowhere left to turn. But in the seductive safe keep of Ilya’s embrace, is Joley really as secure as she imagines?
Christine Feehan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Carpathian series, the GhostWalker series, the Leopard series, the Shadow Riders series, and the Sea Haven novels, including the Drake Sisters series and the Sisters of the Heart series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can two magical souls find love through the turbulence? What happens when two magical powers collide … Joley Drake and Ilya Prakenskii were about to find out the hard way. Joley is from a loving family of seven sisters where everyone looks out for each other. And each sister has their own magical power. Ilya is a Russian orphan who has been tortured and trained for violence from a very young age and has never known love or family. And he has powers of his own. Joley is a world famous singer on tour who has been receiving more than her share of threats. Ilya is the bodyguard for a Russian mobster who is fascinated with Joley and is following the tour. Joley is terrified of the feelings that Ilya can evoke from her and the rumours about him being a hit man cause her run in the other direction. But the feelings he stirs up and the passion she feels with him keep bringing her back, even at possible risk to herself. Ilya is possessed by Joley. He can’t stop thinking about her. After several attempts on her life he vows to always keep her safe, even if Joley insists she doesn’t want him around. Together they must find the threat to Joley and stop it if they want to know what fate truly has in store for the two of them. Turbulent Sea by Christine Feehan is a musical journey through the world of enchantment and love. Book six in the Drake Sisters Series does not disappoint, bringing together magic and romance intertwined with the devotion of family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Started slow but Heated Up by the End I have loved all the stories about the magical Drake sisters, but Joely wasn't my favourite sister, and the bossy-boots Ilya annoyed me in the earlier books, so I wasn't sure Joely's book was going to grab me. In the end though, Feehan's wonderful engaging writing style grabbed hold of me, and by the end, I couldn't put the book down until I found out how it ended. If you like Feehan's work, and especially if you've been following the Drake sisters stories, you should pick this one up. My only real complaint is that the house played virtually no part in this story, and I love the fact that the house is also magic and has it's own cool powers. I'm just sorry there's only one sister left. Still given that Elle has "all" the family powers, I'm betting the last book will be a doozy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sexy, Magical and Exciting I loved Turbulent Sea, I like the fact that Christine Feehan will in the end write seven Drake sister novels, and all seven sisters are completely different to one another. As far as I’m concerned she is a brilliant writer to write so many stories and keep readers on the edge of their seats the whole time and have us keep coming back for more. I loved both main characters, they were sexy, magical and exciting. And the other characters, Joley’s band members, were great they helped make the story that much better since her sisters couldn’t always be there. The ending was great and I cant help but wonder if Christine Feehan is going to branch off and write another similar series about Ilya Prakenskii’s brothers. If you liked her previous novels about the Drake Sisters you will like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite of the Series I have been waiting for this book ever since Safe Harbour linked Ilyia and Joley. This was by far my favourite of the books and my fav couple of the series. I thought that the horrible things happening around deserved more attention from the characters and the author but overall I couldn't rest until I finished the book. I look forward to Elle's book next.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredible and damn near unputdownable! Oh, did I really enjoy this one. Full of fire and ice, temptation and inner battles. I’d always liked Joley, right from the start. Regardless of her lifestyle, I knew she wasn’t like her sisters, that there was something different about her. I always felt that, even surrounded by those who loved her, she still had this are about her, the sense that she was alone in a room filled with people… I’m glad to say - Not Anymore! Any reader who reads this book would feel the deep-seeded connection between Joley and Ilya - and I’m talking about before this novel. In this one, it only intensifies. She doesn’t want to want him, but yet she can’t stop herself. And when he’s near, the burning inside for him grows enough that it scares her. Her inner struggle: she is terrified of giving herself to anyone, let alone Ilya; terrified of losing herself, of losing who she is. Ilya feels her desire and taunts her, and himself, mercilessly. He knows deep down that she is ‘The One’. Feehan delivers and exciting, terrifying ride for the reader: from intense erotic love scenes to intense action scenes, both sending the readers hearts pounding. I did find, however, that scenes unfolded more around the secondary characters than Joley and Ilya. Right to the end, I was irked that Ilya didn’t share his past sufficiently with Joley. He hurt her doing that, as it would/did hurt me. He needs to learn to trust Joley, and I really do hope that someday it’ll come. Sure, he finally admits to what he does near the end, but he still doesn’t trust her fully as to the things he’s done, the things he’s seen, his childhood. And out of all the Drake Sisters novels, I felt a little off by that. He may admit he loves her, but for me, it wasn’t enough. For that reason, I can’t give it a full mark.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good read The book while not as good as her last book, Safe Harbour, was still a fun read. Joley didn't come off as strong as her sisters and seemed to have problems with self worth that was never fully explained. I missed the sisters all working togather and Ilya keep his secret long after it should not have been necessary.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from lukewarm Wow, after reading Safe Harbor I was so looking forward to reading about Joley and Ilya but alas, this story is only lukewarm. Sorry Ms. Feehan but this did not come anywhere close to what you did for Safe Harbor. I found Joley to be a weaker character than led to believe and Ilya didn't come thru as much of a mystery man. I sure didn't need a fan while reading this novel as it wasn't as hot. Hopefully, the last novel about little sister Elle will be much better. Whatever happens, I hope Ms. Feehan doesn't write about Ilya and his six brothers.
