Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fun comedy! One of Shakespeare's most spirited plays! A fun little romp with mistaken identities, plot twists, and of course, all's well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh A very popular play that shares the same plot device as many of his other plays (mistaken identity). It is entertaining, but I think that it is better seen than read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Surprisingly Entertaining Play I found the tangled web of love created in this story to be surprisingly entertaining. This tale proves that Shakespeare is indeed capable of humor, contrary to what his more famous tragedies may suggest. I am not sure I would read this again, but it was fun to watch Viola create quite the muddle of things. If you want to try Shakespeare, this would be a great one to start with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shakespeare? Hell yes! I had to read this book as a school assignment. I didn't like it very much at first, but as the story went on, I found myself doing the unthinkable.. not being able to put it down! Now, as a 19 year old who doesn't like Shakespeare as a rule, I was a bit disturbed by this. But the story is actually really fun! It's not as boring as his other works, at least for me, and I'd recommend this to anyone interested in Shakespeare, comedies, or even just a good read. She's The Man, anyone?
