Two Serpents Rise

In Two Serpents Rise by Max Gladstone, shadow demons plague the city reservoir, and Red King Consolidated has sent in Caleb Altemoc-casual gambler and professional risk manager-to cleanse the water for the sixteen million people of Dresediel Lex.
