From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Elisabeth Naughton comes a new story in her Eternal Guardians series…

PROMETHEUS — One of the keenest immortals to ever walk the earth. Until, that is, his weakness for humans resulted in his imprisonment.
For thousands of years, Prometheus’s only certainty was his daily torture at his enemy's hand. Now, unchained by the Eternal Guardians, he spends his days in solitude, trying to forget the past. He’s vowed no allegiance in the war between mortal and immortal, but when a beautiful maiden seeks him out and begs for his help, he’s once again powerless to say no. Soon, Prometheus is drawn into the very conflict he swore to avoid, and, to save the maiden’s life, he must choose sides. But she has a secret of her own, and if Prometheus doesn’t discover what she’s hiding in time, the world won’t simply find itself embroiled in a battle between good and evil, it will fall in total domination to Prometheus’s greatest foe.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Unchained" by Elisabeth Naughton. Book 8.5 in the Eternal Guardians series. I read this book in November 2016. This was my review. I really liked this little novella. It fits in very well with the series but can also be read as a stand alone if you are not familiar with the series. This is a story about Prometheus and Circe. Both characters have been introduced earlier in the series and it was really nice to see them get a happily ever after. Prometheus is a Titan who was saved by the Eternal Guardians and has be living in solitude. Now he thinks he's hallucinating because he keeps hearing the voice of a beautiful woman that doesn't exist. Even when he's awake. Circe is a witch cursed to stay in a cave and serve the god Zeus. He wants the water element and says that Prometheus has it. She'll use her magic to get to Prometheus and then Zeus will set her free. Circe will do whatever she has to, even seduce Prometheus, to get what Zeus wants and to get her freedom. This novella is a quick read. A good story line for such a little book. Great chemistry between Prometheus and Circe. I really enjoyed it.
