about

The total number of foreign tourists received in countries throughout the world was 530 million in 1995. That number broke through the 1 billion mark for the first time in 2012, at 1,035,000,000. Publishing examples of Japanese tourism mobilities will not only foster new and exciting lines of inquiry for the existing and future research on tourism mobilities, but also have implications for humanities and social sciences throughout the world.
